Great idea and the artwork is very high quality! Great use of AI. It was often tricky going back to hit the switches once the gunner had moved off screen (maybe the camera should just follow your character?) - this was also an issue for the boss battle, where the gunner sat so low on the screen I could only see the very edges of the boss's guns and shield. I also wonder whether it would be okay to make the two characters not collide with each other? On a few occasions I couldn't get up in front in time to protect the gunner :( Lots of fun and personality in this, it's an idea I'd love to see some expansion on ^_^
Cool game! Good concept of splitting the defense and attack.
Well Done! I really liked the concept and visuals and gameplay!
Hi ! I like the "protection" concept, and it fits the theme really well :) And this game was made with Godot !
Here are a few things you could improve in a future version :
- I didn't see the beginning text at first,
- the restart button would be better if drawn in a similar visual style as the rest of the game,
- it's not obvious you can dash.
Good job ! :)
Really unique concept, visuals are neat and simple, the level design could have been better. The only thing which annoyed me the most was the fact that the cursor was not hidden. And also you could have make the character move in the direction the shield was facing.
Nice entry, good job! 😎
Good use of the theme, I like the concept of the game. Visuals are not my favorite I must say and the UI could use some work. But overall a cool game :)
Really nice game!
I didn't know being a meat shield was such a difficult job. They make it look so easy in the movies
really cool game, nice concept and execution. it is really simple, but feels great to play. i don’t really like the art style choice but sound effects are cool
thank you!
I love that in this one you play the supportive/tank person and have your AI bro do all the shooty shooty. That's a good contract to all the games with the AI/NPC being the supporter/helper and the player being the shooty boi/grill/div. The visuals and animations are nice and react well with the controls.
The buttons in the levels seem like they could have more of a puzzle to them, so it adds to the gameplay a little more. But that's me as a puzzle biased person saying that!
Cute game!
thanks!
Right, we thought about that as well. Some puzzly elements could do the game good^^
Bro, good game. I like the concept and the overall experience.
thank you!
Great game. Good use of the concept. Had fun playing
nice, thanx!
Good game, liked the concept a lot, quite unique! The movement was a tad too slow, but otherwise had a lot of fun!
thank you, we’ll keep that in mind!
This is a very good promise of a great game! Just needed some polishing in terms of texts hard to read (colors being overlapped), and some more variety to the gameplay (new enemies, new obstacles, etc..). I loved it!
thank you :D and yes, those were some things we had in mind as well. We are thinking about releasing a polished version later.
UI could use some work but other than that I really enjoyed the game, great submission :)
thanks^^
yes, ui was done in a rush…
Very interesting concept, you definitely nailed the theme! This has lot of potential!
A little advise: i feel like the character should move faster, same for the dash! It would add more excitement to the game ;)
thanks, noted^^
Got stuck at second door, could not open the door in time))
Idea is good!
What should i reply here?
