Agreed, I had a lot of confusion trying to connect Dunning-Kruger to what's written in the post. Relieved it wasn't just me, hope other people see this thread

I love games like this that try something new. And the most impressive part is that it's pretty intuitive, and the UI for the inventory is super creative!

An early build of the game was uploaded on the first day. Yeah there's no way we could've done this in just one day haha
Glad you liked the game :)

Thanks, and a special mention to you too!

Haha appreciate that, thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! Good to know about performance issues

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! Yeah definitely ran out of time for playtesting and tuning, appreciate the feedback!

Thanks!

Yooo great minds haha, thanks for checking mine out! And good to know performance is better, appreciate that

Fair enough, I've made some changes and re-uploaded the file. Managed to cut file size to a third and (hopefully) significantly improve the performance. Thanks for the feedback!

There is a version 1.1 now! For anyone interested, it is essentially the same but with some slightly prettier models, textures, and sounds. Also with some bug fixes, like looping the music properly.

Feel free to leave me feedback there instead, thanks!

Yeah that was actually the original idea, to be able to only attack on the beat (like Crypt of the Necrodancer) but that broke shortly before the deadline so I just let the player go crazy haha.

Thanks for the feedback!

Cute game, I liked how fast paced it was. Definitely got some cool elements in it, would love to see it with some sound design done! That would really bring this game to life :)

Fun idea, would like to see it fleshed out a bit more. Give me a reason to use the standard jump mode!

My favorite part is the chat smack talking my guys. Funny game, well done!

I love how the mower felt to control, very satisfying to hunt down and cut through each patch of grass. Bravo on the arrow pointing to the last bits of grass, that's one of those things that makes the experience fun instead of painful.

Well done!

Cool aesthetic, love the soundtrack!

It's a bit difficult to decipher what's happening on screen though, it'd be nice if it was a bit more clear when I'm supposed to switch modes. Good job!

Great adaptation of the theme, really unique, and awesome polish!

If I had a critique to give, it'd be that I spent most of my time running backwards while whittling down the horde. It would be cool to have an incentive to go towards the enemies.

Love the game! Nothing wrong with having a difficult game, beat it after about a dozen tries. I enjoyed the simple risk-reward mechanic of attacking/moving.

Gave me Devil Daggers vibes with the consistent spawning of the enemies. Good job!

Thanks, appreciate it!

Thanks for your feedback, this is a good reminder for me how important accessibility is. The next iteration of this game will include different shapes to match the colors to address this issue.

Glad you enjoyed it though, thanks!

Awesome, yeah it definitely needs a tutorial haha but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah shame about the music, one of those things that broke right before the deadline :(
