Game Description
An horror hunting game. (Or haunted game?)

How does your game tie into the theme?
The deers seems to have been possessed to come this place in flocks. Maybe, you've come to hunt at a haunted place? Thankfully, you're not the one being hunted...

It's very arcade shooter-y, with the twist of some kind of rabid shaman trying to kill you and eat you. It's like Slender... but you just have a gun now. Kinda. It's very simple, I'll say. It's mostly just click and shoot at the things when they are visible. I appreciate the attempts to make the game more substantial by adding a reloading minigame and unjamming, but in the end I just find it's a bit too simple to be fun for me. But what is there is solid, I wouldn't say anything here was buggy, just maybe unfinished and unpolished. A good effort and a cool art style!

Pretty good game. The UI is a bit clunky, when fullscreen on the options menu, the "X" button was imposible to find because it was right on the game name and the color is the same (shown in the screenshot). And I don't know if it was just me, but the cursor was showing during gameplay and that was a bit bothersome since I didn't see the crosshair was behind it at first. Other than that, nice work! Really liked the art.

I really enjoyed the gameplay — it was fun, especially with the idea of being both the hunter and the hunted! The 2D art has its own charm, though a tutorial would have been helpful, and the shop menu was a bit tricky to use at first. Overall, I had a great time playing!

I got FNAF style jumpscared by the shaman ;-;

Cool shooter!  It's very complete, too.  I think there are a few bugs in the menu.  I couldn't get out of the credits or options.  I tried pressing escape and I didn't see any go to main menu buttons.  I wish there was a way to beat the enemy.  Seems like it was invincible.  I think the reload and jam meters could be better placed or made more apparent.  I really digged the art-style and gameplay mechanics. I for one would want to play more content from this.  Slasher reminds me of the movie Feast.

Smooth gameplay, nice visuals, I enjoyed it. When the shaman thingy first appeared I was legit stressed.

The only thing I would change what other already pointed out, the player should not start with an empty chamber.

This felt like the ultimate throwback to times when everybody played Moorhuhn, except with just the right amount of twist on the genre to fit the theme. Love the visual perspective, and the end boss is so cool!

Love the artstyle! The gameplay is enjoyable but the random gun jams really drop points for me. It always occurred just as the monster would charge at me and I would just die because of it. Reloading as well could use a tweak, not really a fan of needing to reload at the start of the every attempt.

Other than that i did enjoy this game, might revisit if it ever gets an update.

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed! The gun being unloaded was meant to teach the player about the reload mecanic. Maybe a few prompts hint would've done the trick instead. As for the jam, the gun is a Lil ol', but also let's just say that it doesn't like being stared at for too long especially when it's hiding.

Finally, if it were to get an update, what would you like to see? Thanks.

Been a while since I saw a stationary shooting game. I was confused at first why gun wasn't shooting, so it might be helpful to have on screen text saying to press R to reload (and also not require  reloading at the start).

Cool game overall!

The 3D perspective is really nice, and I liked the take on the theme. I especially loved the explosion effect.

The UI could have been better, and it seems that the game slows down after restarting. I also felt that even though the skill reload was a unique mechanic, it was a bit random and feels like it was placed there to add pseudo difficulty.

For the first jam, this is incredible work. Great entry!

I liked the environment and the 2D, FPS style gun play! The overall gameplay was great. I like the ill timed jams and reloads I had to make; it made me pay more attention to my ammo count. I think displaying the costs on the shop UI would have been a nice touch.

Good game. Enjoyed playing it.

Super addictive.  It's just a lot of fun. I really liked the art style and constrained 3D perspective and would love to see more stuff like this. When you get caught/attacked it is also terrifying. There is a bug if you continue after playing where the game seems to be rendering at a slower speed (from the win state persisting).

I love me a unique game and this definitely worked for me. An unconventional arcade style mash-up.

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it!!

also damn, I didn't realize that the slow down after winning was a bug, but I know exactly what I did to cause it 😭 sorry about that!!

The cute Deer on the thumbnail bait me... Damn that was freaky.
I really liked the 3D perspective and the graphic overall.
I couldn't close the option in the main menu and I do not understand what to do once I finished the bullets

Developer

thanks for playing!

Yeah, not being able to leave the options menu is a weird bug that happened, not sure how. sorry!

Before starting the game, you can buy more bullets and other upgrades with the score you've collected, which will make the next run easier. If you run out of bullets, then it's game over. You'll need to buy more next round.

haha I expected this to be a typical FPS, but no! Interesting idea, I like the skill reload.

A fun twist on a classic hunting simulator concept. Nice!
