Awesome concept that with some great mechanics make for some very clever puzzles! The art also fit very well and the use of shadows is really good. Well done! :D

I also encountered the room where everything was just dark, but seems like you already fixed it.

I like the eyes that force you to leave the orb in certain positions to progress. The last room before everything went dark (the 3rd room I think?) felt a bit janky though because I needed to jump in mid air and nudge the ball upward in order to get the right position. Maybe I didn't quite solve it the intended way, but that's what I ended up doing.

Other than that, great game! The idea is very unique and the art and music are really cool. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for the detailed comment!

The 3rd room has 3 ways to solve it, but I think we can do better in telegraphing the solution to the player indeed.

Great puzzle platformer, nice art, excellent use of shadows.

I encountered a small issue: after one chamber, I walked through the exit and everything went dark.

Developer

Thank you!

Yea.. we already encountered this bug and fixed it. Too bad we couldn't upload the fix in time.

Really cool visual effects and great puzzles. Your team did an awesome job :D

this is incredibly beautiful, I love the art style and the design! 10/10

What a cool interpretation of the theme! The art style is really nice. The shadow effects blew me away. A really cool piece of work. A solid game. I'd like to see it develop. The only thing I had trouble with was figuring out how the doors work, but other than that I had good fun :)

Developer

Thank you kindly!

We already are working on a better opening segment to help ease in the difficulty since I too think it is quite tricky to understand as it is right now..

Thanks again!~

Interesting idea, good graphics. But I think I encountered a bug, where the door would not open (first room with the spikes. Good game though!

Impressive game! I could see this as a full release. Solid idea and execution!

Really nice quality! I liked the audio a lot -- it was super atmospheric and mysterious. I liked the mechanic of line of sight and how it opens doors. I also ran into the bug where I couldn't move onto the next screen, but still had a good experience!

Thank you! glad you liked it.  We will publish after the jam a fixed version

This is pretty neat. I like the shadow effects the orb creates as you move through the game. I will say that the controls are a tad stiff. The character feels quite heavy. Jumps barely make it over the lower ledges. The game is missing an in-game options menu for exiting and other things. Some minor critiques about the level design, there are some areas where the camera will transition when there isn't anything there, like when you get to the first door. If you go all the way left to the eye box thing, the camera will shift left with a view over a large black screen and a tiny sliver of the game in the bottom right corner. In the very beginning of the game there's one spot where at the first screen transition you hit a ledge but you're so small in the corner and its so dark that it's hard to see the character there. Maybe move that block over a bit so the player can track the character easier.

Developer

Thank you for the detailed critique! We noticed the camera issues, we were trying to upload a fix but didnt make it. We will update it after the jam and review again aspects like level design and the jumps like you mentioned. We will keep working on this game and publish a better version with more maps to explore

The game started of really nicely but a bug left me with a black screen very early on :/

That's really sad because everything other than that started really well.

The physics of the characters feel nice, the gameplay mechanics were pretty clever and well put together. The graphics are good too, the character sprite was pretty nice and the background to, i'm not a fan of the all black shadow effect but I know how hard it is to do a good lightning system so it would be very difficult in 48hrs.

Really solid game other than the bug making the game unplayable after collecting the second collectible

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the detailed comment!

Yea, we already fixed it a minute after the submission time was due, but it is what it is.

We will try to improve the lighting system for sure, maybe add some objects who shed dim light other than the orb as some people have mentioned here.

Thanks again!

Hey, really enjoyed the dual mechanic in this. It took me a while to work out how to open the doors with the eyes and light orb vision etc. but I figured it out in the end. Good luck in the ratings!

I like the idea! However got disorientated many times. That's part of the gameplay i guess. But some more visual cues could help.

However great atmosphere, art and a very interessting game idea. Good job!

Developer

Yea I think we need to ramp up the difficulty a bit better.. We'll work on that.

Thank you!
