Thank you for playing! Yea I could have made the attack have a shorter cooldown. I already lowered it last moment, but more wouldn't have hurt.

Thank you for playing! I spent a lot of time to structure my code so I could easily add more stuff like enemies moving in a different way, but I just couldn't find the time to actually add them.

Thank you for playing! Upgrades, different weapons and friendly units were in the plans, but I didn't have enough time.

Thank you for playing! Probably half of the time spent making this game was on the enemies. I have never before made so many sprites and animations for a single game.

Thank you for playing! Wave 16 is really high! Good job!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing! Hitting the bell multiple times can act as if you are choosing to play at a harder difficulty.

Thank you for playing! There are 13 different enemies in the game. I think I really lucked out on the music. I know that the attack cooldown is a bit long, but I wanted the game to be a little bit more challenging and I already changed it from 1.5 to 1.2 last second.

Thank you for playing! This is the first time I have put so many sprites and animations in a game. The main character has 23 different sprites! I made the attack so you can outrange all the melee enemies, but still need to get close and personal. I had a hard time deciding whether to gain health from a pickup or by killing enemies, but I think it came out good.

Thank you for playing! I had plans to be able to buy upgrades, different weapons and units that fight for you after dying, but I had to cut corners because of the limited time.

Thank you for playing!

:DDD

Really fun polished game! The art is fantastic the amount of variation in enemies/attacks is really nice. The whole occult theme in general is really interesting to me.

I got to ask, did you use something like a tilemap to make the brick/rock paths because I can see some repeating patterns, but I can't really see where tiles start and end.

I like how you jump when growing, but I think the normal jump is too small. Fun little game, though it could use some music.

Really fun game! Not many people go for making a first person game. Having high score gives it replayability and you even put effort into the menu. Good job.

Thank you for playing! I made it so every structure you can build except the silos has some sort of animation.

Thank you for playing! I got a friend to playtest my game before releasing it and figured out that some explaining of how the game works was needed. So I added the button.

Cool

I am amazed by how good this game is! Don't know how you managed it in the time we had, but it's really good! Also pea shooters from plants vs zombies :D.

Fun little game. I wasn't expecting having to hit buttons with the balloon. The levels are interesting and unique. They are not too easy, but also not too hard.

It would have been cool though if the balloon actually started to float when expanded and go down when shrunk. The lives also could have been made to be per level instead, so you don't have to start from the beginning.

Interesting idea. Taking territory when hitting the ball is interesting, but I think it needs more work. I don't know why you used J/K for controls instead of W/S, but it doesn't really work for me. The game feels like it's to easy and just time consuming. Maybe if the ball went faster as time went by or changed trajectory more when hit.

Cool snake game. Growing in size rather than only in length is a really simple change, but it makes the game a lot more interesting. For some reason the movement area was only on the top left of the screen and I have no idea what that other place you go is supposed to be. That pickup sound was so loud that it scared the shit out of me.

Really fun game! I survived 10 weeks. The art is great and the game fits the theme really good. The tiles could be a little bit more cheap.

It's amazing how much you have done for the limited time we had! The amount of buildings and units is really impressive!

There is some optimization issues. At 100 nubs the game began to have lag spikes and when selecting expansion packs they began to change really fast. I left the game open for 2 minutes at the end and it crashed.

Thank you for playing and for the criticism!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you very much for playing and commenting! I am glad you enjoyed my game. I don't know what Alberta Credentials are but I will take that as a compliment.

It's an interesting idea, but it needs a lot of polish. The best part is the art and how the characters change when equipped. The movement is really wonky and slow. It would have been better that the characters run at the enemy and attack them rather than move as a whole and you have to move into the enemies. Having to go through the characters to equip them one by one is tedious. One equipment slot per character would have been enough. Sometimes characters in the formation tab would disappear for some reason when moving them.

Good game for your first jam! The pixel art is really well made.

The game could have more depth to it, maybe the orders coming in faster and getting harder with more expensive plants, I think that the plants growing a little bit slower would have been good as planting and collecting becomes a bit tedious. Adding some music too would have been good. I don't think you should lose if you accidentally buy something and run out of money instead of not being able to buy it.

It's a good start though it could have more work and time put into it.

Really fun little game. The growing animations are really cool and the fire lily is literally on fire. The mouse with the witch hat is really cute. All in all, It's really fun, but it is a bit short.

Fun little game! The graphics look good and the music works well with the fog to make it more mysterious. The camera changing to different positions and angles mixed with following at some parts is really interesting. Like one of those older games. Though I think it changes a bit too often when near the enemies.

I really like the litle firefly sprites. They look really cool!

Really fun game! The visuals and animations are incredible. The audio is good too. I really like how everything flows into the center.

I used the white dwarves to stack the black holes on top of each other so it is easier to protect them.

Here is my score:

I can think of only of 2 negative things about the game. The first one is that the controls are a bit wonky and maybe the ability to turn with the keyboard would have been nice. The second is that I don't think it really fits the theme "expand" except that it is about the big bang.

Cool game!

Building you own path is cool and I was suprised that there was voices. Having to defeat enemies and defend the cotton candy is fun.

Like the other comments have said. I think that being ably to carry more than one cotton candy and/or being able to walk through them would be good. I spent a lot of time having to throw them far and making a couple of highways with them. Also maybe it would have been good if each furnace has a limit to spawned cotton candy it can have at a time. At the last furnace there was like a sea of them.

Thank you for playing and writing such a long comment!

An end goal would have been nice. Your idea of a structure that uses every type of resource is really interesting. I haven't played many of this type of games, so trying some before making my game maybe would have given me some inspiration. I had a plan to add sound effects when placing structures but I think I forgot.

I too felt that the buttons sometimes don't register clicks. I know there is a bug that if you select a structure, sell any structure and then select it again, you have to click twice, but the buttons still don't register some clicks. I don't know why it happens and I think it's more of a fault in the buttons themselves rather than the code.

Thank you for playing! I figured it might be a bit confusing, so I added a button with a question mark that shows how the different structure types work with each other and tips on why a structure can't be purchased.

Thank you for playing my game and commenting!!!

Thank you for playing! I wanted the maps to be small so that there is incentive to expand to the other 2 places.

Thank you for playing!
