- Cool game ! I enjoyed it ! I'm wondering if there was a way to win ? I sttoped at one point because I would obliterate all enemy waves and it's been a couple times where the expansion pack was just blinking random or something. Would've been nice to have either an end or at least some kind of feedback of progression. It was hard to tell if I was getting far or if the gmae was getting harder, it felt like I could've gone forever. Appart from that I wish I had a better feedback when double clicking to train, at the end it was almost more about clicking clickly to train all those nubs than any real strategy and sometimes I would not properly double click. Also I wish I knew how many untrain nubs I had to know if I'm close to be done or not. Great game ! I enjoyed it, was fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing Nub City. The only issue I had was that the game's performance would tank around 40 nubs and I couldn't interact with the game after that. I decided It's not going to affect how I rate the game.
Yeah I really should've spent more time on optimization haha
The nub are cool. 10/10
I really like the art. The game is very polished
Really cool! The tutorial was nice and sound design was fun!
So polished!! I love the expansion pack, it'd be cool if you added more

Apparently I managed to survive for 20 cycles and was only limited by the map size and how many nubs I could train within the time limit. Overall, I'm very impressed! The presentation was great and the gameplay was pretty addicting. There maybe could've been more of a strategy element (like maybe each raid could focus on a specific enemy type that you have to figure out how to counter), and it's a bit weird how you seemingly can't remove buildings, but this was still very nicely made.
Yeah selling buildings is something I really should've done, I thought not having it would've added more of a space management aspect but it's really just an annoyance if anything once it starts to get more cramped
And the strategy idea you had is great i wish I would've thought of that
It's amazing how much you have done for the limited time we had! The amount of buildings and units is really impressive!
There is some optimization issues. At 100 nubs the game began to have lag spikes and when selecting expansion packs they began to change really fast. I left the game open for 2 minutes at the end and it crashed.
Yeah the flashing expansions thing is a bug I thought I fixed, it happens after you have 3 or more expansions because it tries to reroll ones you already have but since there is not other one you don't have it'll keep cycling through forever.
As for optimization there wasn't a whole lot I could think of to do without causing some weird collision issues, maybe I'll try again in the future
Incredible game. I have a pretty old laptop so anything over 50 nubs would drop my frames to about 10/s which affects actions like double clicking and building placement but I had such a good time I don't even care. I do not have the APM required to be good at RTS games but I really like the idea of them so chilled out games like this that touch on the genre's tropes are super satisfying for me. Expansion packs are a really cool way to pace progression and I wish they had more of a sense of risk/reward to the decision but that's quibbling. This is a ridiculously complete game how the Helper did you do this in a long week
Thank you! Yeah I barely finished it, and I stayed up late pretty much every single night π
So fun!
This game was awesome! It does start to drag on a little, but the looks and everything were super cool :)
Very impressive game made in a short amount of time! The nubs are so cute that I got a bit attached when they died TT
My nuuuubs! Nooooo! The enemy wizards were OP! Absolutely devastating cus my nubs liked to clump up into one big death ball lol
REALLY fun game and an impressive amount of variety for a jam game, and all executed super well! Every unit has a distinct style and the way they interact is really phenomenal. Even though the enemy wizards were really tough, it felt overall very balanced and fun to play. I had a blast trying the "Weird" build and it was really satisfying getting out of the raid with a ton of extra cash. Very fun play style.
Only thing that felt a bit unfair was the randomness of the nubs walking around. I had some cannoneers just wandering around the edge of the map, and got instantly destroyed during the raid. I wish there was a way to keep them just a bit more ready for battle formation.
But overall, I had a great time in my runs! Amazing work!
Thanks so much! Yeah anything that deals splash damage really needs to be nerfed, sometimes it can be ridiculously powerful, especially since the nub AI makes them clump up a lot.
As for the wandering thing, it does make sense to make them go not so close to the edge but I guess I overlooked that. Maybe I'll do that in the future
Absolutely adorable. Must protecc nubs at all cost
