Feels perfectly like something from the era, the 3D models and dithering make this feel like its sits right beside Myst and The Journeyman Project. Being able to move the camera just blew my mind, and the atmosphere of this game is unparalleled, more than once I felt the tension of danger despite none being there. Great soundscape, and the intrigue of the story paid off nicely, excellent game!

This game manages  to 100% nail the retro vibes while keeping some nice modern qualities. Fantastic stuff.

Incredible vibe and atmosphere and very impressive art design. I love the concept of hopping through different surreal dimensions and the environments do a really nice job guiding the player. The rift 'o' matic mechanic is also simple but satisfying and well-implemented. I also love the sense of mystery throughout, though I did find the irreverent tone of the ending to be a bit jarring and clash with the otherwise somber and contemplative vibe. Overall though this really drew me in seeing Kyle play it on stream and I had a really nice time playing it myself as well!

Great art style and captures the feel of an eerie point and click adventure through weird dimensions well!

Incredible concept and execution!

I have no idea what I just did.

Well...I guess you just ordered food from the Smoke Box. :)

<SPOILER>
Maybe you also witnessed Jambon getting what she craves and needs, so she does not need to resort to other measures to create "Pig" Sticks - or try to remove herself from existence to stop her cravings by the only way a fictive character can cease to exist. But I guess what happened is open to interpretation.
</SPOILER>

I hope that you at least enjoyed the atmosphere a bit :)

The atmosphere was surprisingly immersive. Being in the butcher room and hearing those footsteps was one of the anxious experience I had yet for this game jam. Good work all around, this game definitely hit a oddly nostalgic cord for me.

Super awesome oldskool PC game vibes. The presentation style was unique, but also felt reminiscent of Myst or something. Awesome job on this!~

This one is something special! The visual and audio design is impeccable. I was completely engrossed in this world. The forest in particular may be one of the most beautiful skyboxes I've ever seen. I got lost a few times, but didn't even mind because I loved being in that world. Amazing work!

Loved the surreal vibes, music, and exploration!  The foreboding atmosphere and weirdly nostalgic, will be thinking about this game for a while.

This was such a visual treat, loved the variety of environments and vibes and the added 3d camera rotation on each screen was a fun surprise. Great puzzles in there and I was hooked! Great job!

This is the sort of game I dream about making! Looooooved the vibes on this one. The music and visuals mesh so well together, it creates such a unique experience. And congrats on closing out the show, too! It was definitely a fantastic way to wrap up the jam.

Oh, question: is there a way to open the door in the basement?

Developer(+1)

Very happy you enjoyed the experience, thank you very much! :) No, we thought about adding some kind of content behind the door, but since time was limited, we decided that the imagination of the player will have to do.

Wow these are some breathtaking visuals! I’m currently a graphics programming student and I love seeing stuff like this! Really cool! Excellent sound design and atmosphere too.

Absolutely love the way this looks, I wish I could make something that looks like this

Great you like the style, thank you very much! I am sure you can - Blender, the 3D software we used to create the environments, provides a large number of tools that help, it just takes some time to get used to. You certainly have a great eye for creating art - your game is proof of that :)

Woah... this took me places I was not ready for.  The actual mechanics are bare bones, but the pixel filter hits so good, the otherworldly scenes were inspired, and the soundscape is perfect.  I was sucked in from the start and didn't miss reality.

This one's a real standout. The atmosphere here is top-tier. I was fully immersed from start to finish. Really nice work.

i love the art style so so much.  the puzzles are well designed and solving them felt rewarding

The art direction ridiculously well executed, and the music is perfectly atmospheric. It's a really impressive game!

Also. If you don’t mind telling me. How did you achieve that panoramic view? Every time I do it, I get a weird geometry from mesh. And using WorldEnvoirment doesn’t seem like the right way to do it to me. Maybe you used some kind of shader?

Developer(+1)

Hi, great that you like the game!

For the panoramas SecretCDev rendered scenes in blender using equirectangular camera projections. We then used these images in Godot on a simple cube geometry (it actually doesn't matter as long as it covers everything around the camera) and I wrote a very simple shader (https://pastebin.com/MfvdRgMX) that just computes the view direction and transformes it to the equirectangular projection for color lookup.

At the beginning we actually used the WorldEnvironment for it which also works pretty much the same way, but yes it might be a bit overkill for this scenario, especially if you want to easily edit, e.g. I often forgot to make the WorldEnvironment and the contents unique and overwrote other level contents. Due to this we created the custom system.

Thank you for answer! You really helped me a lot!!!

I really liked this game. I love this pre-rendered dither graphics style, probably because I have a passion for games with pre-rendered retro games. The puzzles are fun. The controls are cool, I really love when point & click games makes 360-degree camera. Music is really atmospheric(I like how menu music use one loop but every time makes funny changes in the end). It’s very cool that there’s a save system. The humor was funny, I love surreal humor. The game seems very polished (I was really surprised to see it done in 1 week). Very cool game!! Wishing you a winning jam!

SPOILERS!!! Damn that Goo in a snowy place.

Thank you very much! Very glad you enjoyed it! :) We actually had around 4 weeks to finish the game, but it was stressful nevertheless haha :)

Oh four weeks. My mistake. Oops. But I can see you didn’t waste any of that time. Well done!!!
