Really nice visuals, the game is so fun to play, though I couldn't restart the game no matter how many times I tried.
Anyway, great job!

Developer

So, by pressing the "R" key it doesn't restart? Mind telling me what OS/browser you are using?

Submitted

oh, I misread it, lol. I thought I had to press A. This font is really hard to read.

Developer(+1)

It was the first pixel font I found on dafont, will change it post jam. Thanks for playing!

probably one of the nicest looking of the games with this concept! The colors are very vibrant, and I love how the lil jumping fellas look running around. Once you figure out how to beat it by going to the top of the stage it becomes really easy, but im sure thats something that would be ironed out. Great job all around!

Fun gameplay! Neat that the red ones could double jump so you had to be extra wary of them

Really creative idea!  Gameplay is simple but fun.  Nice work!

So satisfying to hear the "OOF" strung together.

Nice visuals and interesting concept. It felt like it was best to always just stay up at the top of the screen which made it a little less interesting.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, the firsts players noticed that but the deadline was already passed at that point.

very interesting, I'm curious to see how more polishing and expansions can make this game shine! Good job :)

This game got so much potential, please keep working on the concept in the future and add power ups and different maps

Very cool game, although it gets too difficult very fast, it's kinda unfair that we lost when the little guys touch the side platform, you could fix it checking the Y position of the top platform and the little guy when the collision happens.

Anyways, loved the idea, giving 5 stars on the creativity!

Not a bad concept though the execution might be a little too simple.  The enemy variations was a nice feature though, only issue I found was that the enemies touching the sides of the platform counts as a game over, which doesnt make a lot of sense if we just want them off the platform, but thats mostly my opinion.  Great job though!

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea, but it seems to get really hard really fast?

Maybe tune down the spawn-rate a bit at the start, and introduce the different 'players' one-by-one (e.g. green, blue, red) to make the progression feel smoother.

Fun concept that's more challenging than it seems at first glance. It's a bit punishing to have all sides of the platform trigger defeat, so it might be worth keeping the hotspot on the top of the platform only (could even use the sides to push enemies out of the way). Regardless, a solid core mechanic that could be fleshed out with a variety of level designs and jumpers. Well done :)

Good game, fairly creative and has some actual strategy to it. Love the roblox oof sound effect.

Hey this is quiet hard! hahah

But actually enjoyable!

I think the hitbox is a little off because sometimes it tell me ive lost when im pushing these guys on the sides, that i think is one of the most enjoyable thing to do! hahah

Great entry! :)

That Roblox sfx tho hahaha

Thanks for the feedback! I think I have to change the collision detection mode inside Unity. It is only hard if you don't abuse the meta of staying on the top all the time lol

Submitted(+1)

The idea of being a platform that wanted no part in people standing on it is honestly pretty funny! I liked the gameplay and great job getting such a game complete in 48hrs! Great game overall, and I would love it if you could play my game too :)

Submitted(+1)

Love the idea! The game is efficient, I had fun playing I think you made a good arcade game!
I must admit I spent all my time on the very top dodginf left and righ, which made it pretty hard to lose
Great thumbnail and sound effect lol

Developer

Yeah, it do be like that sometimes

Interesting implementation, and it's quite funny to hear the "uh"s when the players fall for their demise. I'd just suggest testing the collision system a bit more (there would be times the "player" would pass through the platform while falling and the game would ignore it or if they touched the platform on the side even if they couldn't stay on it and it would give me the game over screen) and balancing the amount of "players" appearing on screen (I didn't felt like there was a increase or change of pattern as time went by, it felt more like it was random but I could be totally wrong as I was more focused on letting the "players" fall lol). Good entry, congrats :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! The spawn rate is indeed just random. The collisions surely need a rework as it is only checking wether a players' y velocity is negative.BTW, I think you are the first person to not identify the roblox death sound xD.

Submitted

I only knew the sound as "YouTube sound for ouchy moments", I didn't know it was from roblox lol but good to know

Submitted(+1)

Oh man, we had a very similar game idea lol. Anyways, the game is great. Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

The only difference is that you treat the players humanely lol

Lol

nice concept and good implementation. You find a good balance to "reverse the role" of the platform and creating a good arcade game. Great job! :)
