I also used the music for a YouTube video. I just threw the first one up today but am planning a whole series. I fell in love with "Adorable Adventures" as soon as I heard it and knew it was perfect for the aesthetic I was going for.

Yes, yes it was. 😊 I really liked the slow positional combat where you could make quite costly mistakes if you weren't paying attention. In hind sight, for a Jam, should have done what my co-creator said, and gone with something more frenetic.

Thanks! I'm starting to think my old MBP is not as underpowered as I thought it was as we were using it as the baseline. I did have more optimisations on my todo list but since it seemed to be working ok for me we passed on them in favour of sleep.

Oh, good spot on the enemy icons, I know exactly whats causing that and its very silly 😅

I'm not entirely sure whats causing the massive slowdown for you, I think we were pushing GLES2 / WASM a little far and there were optimisations left on my todo list but it did work ok on my 2016 MBP.  🤔 We're going to carry on the game on after the jam but switch to Godot 4 and Vulcan as we won't need HTML5 as a target

Thank you for playing and providing feedback 😊

Wow! I can't believe you spent so long on it, thank you! ❤️ Yes, the aiming is terrible. I used a formula you find everywhere for AI aiming, but it makes the assumption that the thing being aimed at will stay the same distance away while the projectile travels, which is rarely the case. I found a formula to fix it so we'll use that when we expand on the game post-jam. I also really wanted to do AI ships, but for the purposes of the Jam, it was much easier to stick them all on a Path. Fun fact, all the ships are on identical paths because Copy Paste is cheap. 😅

Thanks so much! Yes it was slow by design, however, in hindsight, thats not the best idea for a jam. @ashteriyaki did want to go for "frenetic" so thats on me  😅

Thank you so much! ❤️  I definitely stole it from was inspired by an old Star Trek game though 😅

I really liked the art, but the game was very buggy. How To Play didn't work and after I killed the other guy, nothing happened and I couldn't work out what to do.

I hope you'll be able to continue working on the game after the jam. If you do, can I also recommend using Itch's Butler program for uploads as it will then work in the Itch app (I got Windows warnings when opening it from the Zip). Hope thats helpful.

If you have a minute, could you have a look at my game, I could also do with some feedback. 🙏

Really fun. It took me a second play to realise that its best to aim for 3's and particularly 9's. This would make a fun mobile app! Art is really good, as is the music and sound choices.

Thanks so much for playing, you might be the first person to have gotten that rating as I don't know how many people would try that. Your Ogre game is great btw!

Thank you so much for taking the time to play! I really enjoyed your game too. :)

Hi I enjoyed your game! The menu system was a little fiddly but probably something that could be worked out after the jam if you are going to continue working on it. The other mechanics were pretty tight and I really liked the art style and audio choices, especially the dice rolling noise.

Oh definitely, I couldn't even get sound working in my game. :) More for if you continue to work on it after judging is done.

Thank you for taking the time ❤️

I played your game too, it was great! Left my thoughts in a comment over there :)

Thank you so much! ❤️

Totally get it. The game is great for a 48hr jam, let alone having the time and stress of an exam. You should be really proud! Only about half the people who entered even got something uploaded. The suggestions were more for if you continue the work later (which I hope you do). Apologies if it came off as derisive, not at all my intention.

Wow! That's an amazing game well done! Even my partner looked over and said "that looks fun". Controls are tight, I love how every shell is useful, even the blanks. The sound, music and effects are really engaging. It also felt like the kind of game you could invest a fair amount of time in to get better at, especially strategising around shells.

If you have time, I'd love it if you could have a look at my game too. ❤

This is a great idea! Unfortunately I did find it really buggy (not clear when dice are supposed to roll, sometimes they roll when placed into the squares and sometimes they just roll and then don't seem to count, you could counter this by having the dice pop back to the start after being used and maybe a column for rolling before you place them into the slots for move and shoot).

However, I can see where you were going with the game, and its a great idea! The art is really well made, and look at that tiny file size, I haven't seen that engine before, but its impressive you crammed all that into the game! I hope you keep working on it after the Jam.

This is really fun, and a neat idea. The art looks good, the music works well and the mechanics are solid. I enjoyed the boss on level 2. Got some Binding of Isaac vibes, not sure if that's what you were going for but the theme is great. I didn't realise the gates had the same symbol on them as the dice, I just shot the first one till it opened, then realised on the second one. 😅

If you have time, I'd love it if you could have a look at my game too.

This is a cute game! It needs a little more non-random strategy around health management, but I love the art direction and the rules are really easy to understand.

Thank you for playing!

With mouse was much easier but I think my 1060 was struggling with the render so it still remained a little difficult to control. Funnily enough I was having the same problem with my game, it (mostly) went away after I turned of Lumen (not that that's a lot of help to you now).

Still, a great game, especially for the time limit!

Woohoo! Almost the same name, both games about chopping stuff and putting it in a pot and the same engine!

That unfortunately is where the similarities end, your game is so much better than mine! Well done! I really liked the chopping and pushing mechanics, weirdly cathartic but also chaotic and maybe a little too hard (probably it was a terrible idea to play on a track pad though, will try again on mouse in the morning).

WebGL is what Unity exports the game as when you export it for web. I used Unreal and they stopped supporting WebGL a while back. Unity is too hard for my little brain though so I stuck with what I could cope with. 😅

Wow, this is perfect! A great idea and really brilliantly delivered. I loved the juice, having to get bigger dice multiple times, and the music and sound. The game was made slightly more challenging by me over excitedly clicking out of the window. I suppose if I minimised everything else that wouldn't be a problem though. 😅

If you have some time, I'd love it if you could take a look at my game too. ❤

I really enjoyed this game, it's great idea. I wasn't sure if there was an objective though. Loved the art and music though. Well done!

If you have time, I'd love it if you could have a look at my game too. ♥

Sorry for the multiple comments, itch must still be struggling.

Ahaha! I loved the pictures at the end. (I was very determined 😅)

If you have time, I'd love it if you could look at my game too. ♥

Hi there, I really enjoyed the idea behind the game. I had to look in the comments for the instructions though. You can still update your games page to include the instructions, and this might help others out.

You can game it a little as the average result of rolling two D6 is 7, so the result will _usually_ be higher than 6. Also you made such cute art, its a shame that it gets cut off in the WebGL view, particularly the planet that we're supposed to be caring for. That said I wish I could have exported my game as WebGL.
