Thank you for your in-depth review, really appreciate it ☺️ I completely understand your suggestion of using fantasy names and places to make it a bit more useable in any another OSR campaign. It's not easy to drop the buckriders in somewhere. But I did wrote it with the intent of a self-contained one-shot (multi-shot maybe) and the historical setting is a feature of that. Ofcourse any GM may turn things upside down to make it fit their story. I would encourage! 😉

Btw, being a historian by profession it's a bit of a trademark to use historical themes in my games with my regular game group ☺️ haha.

Yeah. I see what you mean. It leaves out a lot of nuance in the rating. I understand that they had to come up with a way to keep it manageable but between 3-5 stars there is not much wiggle room 😜

Yeah, honestly it was only yesterday when I was caught in a huge down poor :o Wouldn't wanna be on a goats back then. Haha xD

Thank you so much!☺️ I really loved the art you did in your project!

Thank you so much! Yeah I totally see what you mean and honestly I was in doubt of using "scenes" because it is "not really OSR". But then again: I like using it in the prep of my games because it helps me with the structure so in the end I decided on just going for it.

Edit: oh yeah, SW or DB would be a nice fit as well. Haha ;)

Rats! Oh wow ho (playing Ghost on the background) I really loved the vibes of this adventure because I like Skaven and Ratfolk as enemies. Your cover drew me in! Haha 😆 Really nice little dungeon just jam packed with adventure! Great job.

Beautiful colourful dungeon design! Made me wanna snack on some dwarf salad 😉 haha 😂 & great that you zoom into parts of the map in the following pages.

Ps: Noticed your hand sketch of the dungeon. Really neat!

I feel like reading an adventure inspired by a medieval Lovecraft or some other kind of pulp fiction ☺️ Really great vibes 👍

Thank you, that really means a lot to me :) I like that the framework of the Knave ruleset gives us so much freedom to explore all different kind of stories and settings 😉👍From historical to science fiction ☺️

The zine gets me really exited to go and explore the Lithoplex with my players. The evocative art and design really draws you in. And it's just jam packed with adventure :) nice one!

Beautiful colourful map. Really evocative art :) I can see me dropping this dungeon in some campaign I'm running. The idea of the book with legs is really fun xD love that hook.

Loved the design, reminded me of an old zine.  I especially liked the idea of thd soulspores and the theme of a drugs cult. Some drawing were pretty disturbing xD

Hahah XD

Thank you so much for your kind words:)

Haha, no problem. I think it's a bit of folklore that is really specific to the region where I grew up. But I like it really much as a setting, exactly like you said: a bit of a darker Robin Hood 😉

And how to handle it when things go off road? Well, I figured not to plan out too much when the raid starts to keep it in the OSR-mindset. And let the players and GM decide how things go. I only provide an example of how things could end. But yes, the planning ahead may be a bit more like Blades in the Dark then Knave. I agree.

PS: I have run a campaign in a BitD type of game in the past and I love to run Call of Cthulhu and World of Darkness. So much of the inspiration will come from games like that.

Oooh, that's so clever! Makes it feel really authentic as well ^^

Haha nice ;) Necessity sparks the best ideas!

Thank you so much for your kind words! Loved working on this project ;)

Oh wow. But it turned out very unique looking 😉👍 thank you ☺️ appreciate it.

The Dwarks have capture my imagination. Haha. I'm in love with the vertical geography of this dungeon map and how the module is build through that logic. And the cartoonish style really makes it a fun read! :)

This module has so many great ideas. You sparked my interest with the Owlbear theme but your original setting of Murraya kept me hooked. A Thailand inspired fantasy setting is such a wonderful idea!

So much great stuff happening on just page 4 alone providing for a great background. And I agree that the additional firearms and trap mechanics are a great supplement. And last but not least: love the handdrawn art style as well :)

Really great job with this mini-hexcrawl You suprised me a lot!

Thank you so much :) And yes, we all do. A flying goat would make anyone's commute so much easier :P haha.

This is really top notch. The layout and design of this adventure makes you ready to pick up and go with it. And love how colourful this is for a horror scenario 😂 can't wait to run this one myself!

Edit: ohh and the addition of the cut out paper doll on the end page. Love that finishing touch! 😁

Love all the random roll tables. Will really help to generate all kind of weird stuff. Love it

This is a great One Page Dungeon with such nice art and stat blocks for all the enemies which will make it easy to run. It's really in the spirit of Ben Milton's work and I love it. Also appreciate you guys picking appropriate music for the different scenes ;)

Really love your hook! The idea of your players complaining "and what if I just want to go to another planet" and you writing this up as an answer really speaks to me as a fellow-GM who has to deal with these things as well from time to time 😂 also really like the art in this one!

The island of Gezeri really comes alive! Can't wait to run this adventure. It's boiling with tension. The art of Gabriel is fantastic as well. Really bold.

Really digging the vibe of this 80ies adventure and your very original concept ;) Also love the colourful and playful layout and design. Really great stuff.

I don't want to make this comment too cheesy 🧀 But I really loved the theme. Made me chuckle a lot ;)

Love your hand drawn art style with lots of colours. Did you use crayons for that? I think it's really bold. And it's a fun adventure as well!

Love your drawing style. And I think it's good you added a paragraph about checking with your players if they are okay with some kind of (body) horror in their games. Especially when you don't know the players that well. It wasn't too horrific for my taste btw. But nice to add the disclaimer!

The art style, layout and map design are really evocative! Love the idea of delving for alchemical ingredients. Good to follow instructions. It really is in the spirit of Knave with a lot of weird fantasy mixed into it. Great job!

Thank you! Seems simple enough :) I will give it a shot!

Thank you! :) My regular gaming group and I love it when random stuff like this is thrown at their PCs. So I figured 'the Buckriders oath' would be a nice thematic way to add some extra flavour right from the start ;)

Eey guys, since this is my first itch jam I was wondering: Can anyone please explain to me how the rating system works? Couldn't seem to find the instructions 🙈 Thank you very much in advance!

I agree: Great vibe in this jam. Hope we'll have another Knave jam in the future 😉👍

And going to read this one! The cover looks great 🔥

Thank you so much :D I would love to know what you'll think of it 👍😉 cheers!

I really love your style! It looks like its made with an old printing press. For this jam my wife and I tried our best making our own art. But definitely going to keep you in mind for the future ;)

Thank you :D I liked the idea of just using what I would always use when running a game at my table ;) Haha.
