A lickforge! This adventure is an absolute gem. Would love to run this one someday.
Thank you so much! Just power-walked home to try to review as many entries before time's up, and yours is already on my list!
Dwark Names: Roll 1d100. That’s its name
I love it! Now I can call people dwarks and chuckle to myself.
Thanks, glad you liked the mini name generator! Never came up with a full d100 table that quickly before
The writing and layout is so incredible. I feel like I just read a master class on how to do introduction and concise information. All the information was just the right amount, just at the right page where everything is relevant. I can sometimes struggle with text walls so this adventure is getting filed away under "things to copy"
My only struggle was pronouncing the title haha.
Wow, thank you so much! My own "things to copy" file was pretty dang big for this jam, and has only grown from seeing other folks' submissions. So it's really heartening that my attempt works for you and others!
Lots of imagination on display here!
Loads of different things interacting with each other and a fun setting.
Also my front lawn developed a sink hole recently, so I can relate.
Oh no, good luck with that sinkhole! The ground really isn't as solid as we think, at times. And thanks for the read-through and kind words!
What a great adventure, the perfect amount of salt and weirdness! The Dwarks seem like such an interesting faction to run. I love how their motivations vary throughout the adventure - I could see players having lots of fun interacting with them. The writing was top notch, and I like how there were some helpful paragraphs with gm advice sprinkled in. Look forward to running this!
Thank you, it would be so wild for an adventure I wrote to be ran by another person! In early drafts the Dwarks were pretty much mindless drones, but over the weeks they grew into something more, and I'm so glad that their individuality came through for you. Cheers!
Really fun writing, love the Dwarks, great layout, and amazing maps and art. Seems super fun and useable, great work!
Thanks so much, my fellow Connor! It's been amazing reading so many great modules, and yours is way high up on my queue!
"What is a Dwark? A miserable little pile of salt"—but enough talk, Thunk at you! XD
Lots of fun writing throughout. Really like the NPC spread—lots of gameable characterization to be found there. Getting those good Kingdom of Loathing vibes from things like Cogdonk, Frictionless Spherical Cow, etc.
Hey, that's a way better line! Thanks for checking this out. And I've never heard of Kingdom of Loathing before now, either, so thanks for the recommendation!
Really enjoyed following along in your process for this. The effort and dedication show. Fan of the art (appreciate the hand drawn beforehand that some might not know went into it beforehand). Vibe made me reminisce about my childhood on Saturday mornings.
Thank you so much, I'm glad that inner-child vibe actually came through!
A high-level adventure submission for Knave feels like a bold move, but I think you pulled it off. Love the flavorful descriptions of your two big bads. Those Telepathic Taunts are the best part!
Thanks, the level scaling was the part I doubted the most! Glad it worked, and that the taunts found their audience.
Some of the best art in the jam by far!
My friend's recent drawing inspired me to try again for the first time in 15+ years, so thanks for that! It makes me want to draw more silly little guys! And I can't wait to read your work tomorrow!!
this reminds me of the Sector board game and I dream of the Star Trek NG / Paranoia! mashup with this kind of art. I share your love for silly little guys!
Well designed layout, very old-school aesthetic that I love, lots of great tables, love the page with all the NPCs.
That's great to hear, thanks! I had worried that the NPCs were unnecessary or overly indulgent, so I'm glad someone else also liked em!
The Dwarks have capture my imagination. Haha. I'm in love with the vertical geography of this dungeon map and how the module is build through that logic. And the cartoonish style really makes it a fun read! :)
Thanks so much! Glad these lil guys can spend some time in brains other than mine for a bit, they've been strange company for the last month. I love your flying goat-bandits!
I think this is my favourite so far!
And I just felt similarly about yours! Thanks so much
High strangeness and very fun art. Feels like a Saturday morning cartoon.
That's high praise in my book! Glad to know that inner child vibe came through
