The layout is superb. The Hazard die and Soulspores is a great addition that adds another layer of detail to the adventure
Loved the design, reminded me of an old zine. I especially liked the idea of thd soulspores and the theme of a drugs cult. Some drawing were pretty disturbing xD
Agreed that the Silver Gorilla is a mint item.
Tremendously clean layout—hits the Usability brief so well.
I love the Maw of Dregnora illustration: the eyes really sell that soul-swallowing intent!
Great stuff.
Now I feel like I should have put a content warning on my adventure too for its hedonism content... 😅
Nice and clean layout, and good artwork that gets the vibe across well. Fun concept, which should easily slot into most campaigns with some fun monsters! The central concept with the soulspores and the hazard die is a really nice touch and the theme is solidly built and used in the adventure. The font is sized well, room keys are well sized, just the right balance of information and terseness. I think it's a bit hard to tell which items, monsters and features are linked based on looking, maybe highlight or bold them so they are a bit more obvious. Aside from that, it looks awesome!
Very well done, and looks relatively easy to run. I get the feeling that this adventure was just a little bit inspired by one of the Dying Earth short stories, no? Good choice of cover art too- really helps set the tone!
Thank you! Jack Vance wasn't a direct inspiration for this one, but it probably was indirectly. Full list of inspo:
Reefer madness (1936), drugsploitation film
Reefer madness the musical (2005), movie musical
D.A.R.E, (1983-present!?), anti drug campaign
Infinity Train (2019-2021), TV series (RIP)
Now that's a wild ride! You've got a real madhouse going on here, and it seems really open to player agency. And you managed to make Dregnora deeply disturbing without it feeling juvenile or crass. One thing I'd love is if there was a hyperlink back to the main map on all the pages with location descriptions, or even some minimaps inserted into the black spaces those pages had. Maybe that's just personal preference though. Great job to your whole team!
Yup! I love mini maps with links. No room in my 16 pages though 😭. They'll be in the version released after the post-jam period.
I bet a lot of us will enjoy some post-jam page sprawl to flesh out thse modules!
This looks like a ton of fun! I love the Reefer Madness propaganda-style cover. My group will eat this up. A few might even succumb to the Revelers' wiles themselves...
Amazing ideas here, I love it. Very fun. I think the concept of the page numbers on the map is dope, the execution was a bit of a miss for me. Excellent presentation overall.
Feels very classic. I imagine my OSR players who are newish to the movement would dig this.
Love the color pallette and clean/easy to read through design. Items are creative and fun. Map is easily accessed and understandable. Really dig the whole vibe of this adventure, and appreciate the time investment with the links. Very well done and look forward to trying it out!
Love the graphic design on the cover. Layout is simple but well organized and easy to read. I like the use of the hazard die/encounter mechanic and wish I would have done this for my own entry!
Items at the start are fantastic. Really enjoyed the vibe of the setting, well written.
A very well-organized adventure, with hyperlinks everywhere. The items are simply magnificent and hilarious. Dregnora's room is certainly the highlight and climax of the adventure (who wouldn't want to roleplay with a massive open-mouthed head of debauchery?)
It was a lot of fun playtesting this one with you.
Best of luck!
