Hi Leaving Leaves, I think you should put the game to private. I think that is in the confounding calendar description.

Really cool how you dedicated to one setting theme style and technique! I'm a bit jealous of how cool and complete your collection of entries is. This is also something that adds more limitations to your design process which has pros and cons. I will definitely do the same thing next year I will try to make one overarching story in my entries, you definitely inspired me. 😁
You should publish this for the Gameboy 😅
Really enjoyed this entry. If you just had some more time some extra levels and challenges would give this a lot more replayability value. I went and filled the whole screen with the track & field guy after completing the game, that felt really good 🙈
I think the polish on your entries was amazing. You definitely kept everyone in the competition on their toes with the great stuff you made. I'm really excited to see with what you come up next, we definitely should keep in touch over discord after the finals are over and ofcourse we should meet again in the next GDKO 😁
This game was right up my street, I love these kind of games. I really like the simplicity of the gameplay loop and upgrading your deck and stats. While playing it I wish there were more cards and unique synergies and more different snails and more different map elements.
I think you are going to win the final, I think you deserve to.
I think in terms of gameplay you showed a lot of cool stuff during the GDKO, I really enjoyed playing your games. Very impressive everything that you made. Good luck with your main project! I will keep following you :D
I did not manage to play your game since I only have a macbook at the moment.
Looking forward so see some playthroughs from the judges though, the screenshots look really good and the game looks very well polished!
It was great talking to you in the discord group. I think you really pushed yourself throughout the GDKO with all the different technical challenges you took on :D
Are you also joining next year?
Thanks for the kind words!
think I was 6 or 7 games in when I realized I was telling everyone "Oh yeah you'll be in the final for sure this is awesome" and had to stop saying it because I no longer know how to rank them haha.
Did you comment this before or after your discord comment? I'm so nervous about this round, haha
For the UI I definitely had some trouble placing everything. I should have just added a money bag as an icon in the UI. Or to make it more clear I should have added some particle effect pop ups whenever something increases, for example "+7 money" or "+1 foul" so the player knows the number increased.
Thanks for playing, glad you had fun!
I did think of adding a map (in the style of Slay the Spire) where you could see the upcoming events but in the end it did not get prioritized, that probably would make it a bit easier to plan ahead and choose what events to do or what fouls to take to get to a shop.
For the spider ring, yes that one is only useful when you have a build focused on the high jump. I did nerf it a bit before submitting because it made the event too easy.
Thanks for playing and all the feedback! ⭐
I suck at this game, I only got gold medals because of the unimplemented events.
You should remove the unimplemented events and post this on reddit to be honest, probably there is quite some people who will get very nostalgic because of this.
The polish is amazing, how do you do this, unbelievable! Do you have any tips & tricks or secrets to share with the rest of us?
Amazing game, I like the silly theme.
The only minigame which I did think was a bit less clear compared to the other games was the high jump, it felt a bit random what the effect of the timing of your jump was.
The games are very fun to play and having the highscores is really cool (I regret now that I did not add any highscores in my game)
I had some trouble reading the control diagram at first and before I knew it I got bitten by a spider, would be nice to move the controls inside of the game, so you know what is needed for each minigame.
Managed to get a score of 24.940. Amazing game. This game is ready to be shipped for the gameboy, really cool.
(Maybe good to know for other people running into this issue) Nevermind, this only happens when running the game using https://itch.io/randomizer probably because it is running from within an iframe or something.
I get the following error when I try to open your game:
Error
The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
I'm on a mac with chrome. Am I doing something wrong?
Really cool how you tied everything together for the story. (I'm a bit jealous of you creating one continuous game, I think I will do the same thing next year)
The section where you had to hide for the guards could use some more background art and it was not clear to me you were supposed to be a bush (I also did think I was disguised as a rock)
