Yeah sorry abt the lag, it may be a problem with the godot html export (notorious performance issues with some games), your web browser, or it's possible I just optimized poorly.  Will definitely look into it thanks!

This flower got hands lmfao.  Genuinely really fun score game, the hits felts satisfying, but I think a little more added game feel would be sweet like adding a touch of screen shake to when you hit and kill enemies, and making enemy sprites flash when they take damage.  I'd also have them stop for a few frames after they get hit as well to really sell the effect.  Already as it is the game is super satisfying to play, great job!

Awesome game dude.  I was a bit puzzled at first as to what I was doing because my clicks weren't making that much of a difference, but once I bought the first upgrade it was easier to see.  Absolutely hilarious concept, and wonderfully executed.

Dude, fantastic puzzle game idea.  Great music, thought provoking gameplay, and good looking art.  Honestly superb job.  It would be sweet if you sped up the plant animation and cooldown a little, as for me it kind of screws with the pacing as the game goes on.  Really loved it.

Very fun honestly, I like the combination of order fulfillment and rhythm.  Feels already like a robust system that you could expand upon for ages.  Idk if it's a problem with my computer (my gpu is terrible) or just the html version but there's some weird delay with the visuals and the sound for me, which really threw me off and took me a while to get used to.  Overall extremely polished entry.  Great music bro, I'm looking forward to buying your game when it comes out on steam!

Nice job on the art!  Like the others said, the concept of having to balance your needs in order to survive is fun and adds some depth and choice to the game.  It took me forever to find the oasis though, because I kept running out of water and sometimes the water bottles would become empty, but wouldn't give me any water, which is unfortunate lol.  Either way, good game guys!

I know the game's unfinished, but I initially actually liked the idea of pushing enemies out of the way to protect our tree.  I hope you manage to finish it after the jam!  I also appreciated the way the music ramps up over time.  Nice job!

A little hard, but great job!  The wall jumping is a little clunky...  I'd say instead of requiring you to press the direction of the wall, just have the player go into the slide state if they're colliding with a wall in mid-air.  Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes in the future!

Aw, that was sweet!  I love this kind of game, and you pulled it off excellently.  It was short but I still cared about the little robot and his plant.   I've actually been meaning to work on some text based games myself.  Looking forward to seeing more from you!

There are plenty of ways you could go with this...  Without changing the base mechanics you could make it so blocks packed tightly together are harder to steal.  Or you could make it so when you fill the blanket it gets cleared and you get a reward or score higher.  You could also make it so orientation of your food gives you a score bonus, stuff like that.  Or you could do all of those, idk.  If you were to do those, you'd probably want to make it so you can't stack food on top of one another...  That's just off the top of my head tho, so I'm sure you guys will think of something better given time!

Nice relaxing game.  Though I would have liked it if there was some sort of indicator of progress between actions as the flowers grow.  like a progress bar or something

Nice little clicker game!  I'm actually a big fan of clickers and I'm glad I finally managed to find one among the submissions.  I managed to finish in 4 minutes, but I'll admit I did use an auto-clicker lol.  You could definitely turn this into a longer game by adding more tiers and upgrades for plant yield and stuff like that if you wanted.  Great job!

Great job!  When I saw that this was made in C++ I was honestly super impressed, as I probably couldn't have done it myself.  The concept shows a lot of promise.  I'm seconding the variety bit.  All you really need is one more mechanic and this would be a great farming sim!  Stuff like needing to spend money to clear rocks out of the field, or spend money on irrigation for better plant growing speed would really spruce up the gameplay!

Yay, we made it to spring!  Nice job.

Fun idea!  Like other said, I wish the birds were a bit slower... Maybe to maintain the difficulty you could have them start slow and then speed the birds up as the round goes on...  I would also add a slight timer to how long it takes for the birds to steal food placed on the blanket, but honestly it's up to you guys as of course that depends on the game you want to make.

Cute concept.  It's intuitive to control and relaxing to play, what more could you want?  Fantastic job!

Great game!  You got a lot of mileage out a simple concept.  I love the enemy variety and how each different one changes the way you need to play the game a bit.  You could def get a lot more out of the concept if you wanted to as well, good design, great choice!

Nice little game!  Well done.  I'd say one quick improvement you could make immediately is change the AudioStreamPlayer2D node to a regular AudioStreamPlayer so the music doesn't fade out as you walk away from the node.  I'd say from this that it's clear you already have a good understanding of Godot and I'm excited to see what you make next!

Really well polished game for 48 hours!  Love the sounds and the control of the cars.  I feel like we could use some more indication of what watering the plants is actually doing for me, like a UI element or something.  Other than that it's wonderful.  Can't help but feel like adding controller support would make it easier to control the car, as is I think it's pretty intuitive (and requires some level of skill) and I'm not sure you should change the controls, but it did take  me a second to get used to swapping turn directions on keyboard when the car was facing south.  Will definitely be checking back in with this one to see where you go with it!

Wonderfully simple game.  The puzzle elements are super intuitive.  It felt like if I could think to try something, you'd already though to implement it.  great job!  I wonder if this couldn't serve as a framework for a longer adventure or escape room type game...

Yeah, thanks for the feedback it's greatly appreciated!  Initially the controls were a little bit different, because I was testing on controller, like for example there was a button for latching onto the little tree thingies.  I realized at some point that on keyboard having an extra button for this feels really clunky, and so even though it gave the player better control I had to take it out.  Stuff like that.  I was trying to consider the player experience because I assumed like 90% of players would play on keyboard because of the context of a game jam.   Unfortunately this ended up making some of the movement a little less polished than I'd like, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it!  Thanks again!

Cute game!  I appreciate the little details.  I can't believe I didn't realize there was snail in the soup the first time, it's literally in the picture lol.  Great job.

Nice jumpscare.  You did a good job with the atmosphere, but I think the graphical effects are causing the game to slow down.  Can't be sure though.  Either way, very creative way to interpret the theme, good job!

Never played a game with a defecation meter before lol.

Fun and pretty, nice job!  Scratches that quasi-strategic idler itch for sure.  I been playing a lot of those lately lol.

ALL CHICKENS MUST DIE

Very well put together.  Polished for what time you had to build it.  Literally add like a persistent purchasable upgrades shop in the main menu and it'd be a perfect mobile game lol.

Short, sweet, and simple, exactly what a jam game should be.  I wanted to see how high I could go so I planted so many flowers my computer froze up lol.

Art's pretty and its a good proof of concept for a game.  It could do with a little escalating tension, like having the enemies increase in number as the game goes on.  Other than that great job.  Oh yeah, idk if it was just me, but the quit button on the main menu didn't work.

love the sound effect for the slam ability.  Pretty game.  I like that you can just keep gaining speed forever, I think by round 40ish I was fast enough to walk across the whole garden in half a second lol.  Though if you wanted to keep that more manageable you could make it so upgrades come with diminishing returns.  Otherwise, fun little game.  Great job guys!

mf camels.  Nice graphics.  I appreciate the retro vibe you went for as well with the sound.  Literally all you have to do to make this a perfect high score game is increase the base shooting speed a bit, and make it so both shooting and the enemies speed up gradually as score increases.  Though they may already do that in the base game, I'm not sure as I haven't been able to get my score above a couple thousand.

IM POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN!  IM POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN!  IM STRONG TO THE FINICH, CAUSE I EAT MY SPINACH.  IM POPEYE THE SAILOR MAN!

neat little game.  Art is really nice.  I liked the theme for night time too, but at some point it glitched out  and stopped working lol.

ah yeah thats probably it thx

That wet smack sound is beautiful lol.  Genuinely a super cool concept, i think tapping to the beat to restore the tree to life was done pretty well.  Would have been cool to place leaves all along the path and such, or something.  Either way as is I was pleasantly surprised.   Good job guys.

Just so u know, the exe file in the zip folder is named incorrectly so it doesn't run unless you rename it "plant jam.exe".  Simpler little idler.  Nice job!

Nice cover art.  Wish the game window could do proper maximized lol.  I thought it was hard until I realized you could jump after you leave a platform.  Still have no idea what the green cotton candy looking thing does lol.  Sounds like hes toking when i go near it.  Yeah i had fun, good job guys!

snails btfo.  five star presentation guys, fantastic job!

neat little game.  All it really needs is longer queues of customers lol, maybe a timer for when they get tired of waiting.  Like those old restaurant flash games.

EATEN mysterious device EATEN

when he said yum i felt that

thx bro yeah i woke up late so i didn't get to the sound effects lol.  you too honestly, ur game looks fantastic.
