Fun experience! Lv2 enlargement shouldnt take that much imo but really addictive and well balanced. Graphics are cool too! will try to reach more enlargement levels someday
this is a cute game with really great balance! my only note is a small qol request that the growth isn't counted on mushrooms at max level. overall, very fun and really well done :)
Reminds me of Cookie clicker. The graphics are cool! Nice going!
Easy to play idle/clicker style game.
The payments ramp up way too fast. 1k research was doable, but the next step is 1M research.
Also I'm not sure if it's intentional but after doing the 1k research upgrade I lost my mushroom tiles, causing me to lose 3 mushrooms per tick. I hope that's a bug because it really undermines the progress even further.
Long story short: It has potential but needs a lot of balancing.
Losting mushroom tiles is designed(mentioned in the Enlargement [?] detals). It likes other clicker game that can "restart " the game as a new playthrough while remains some effects (unlock new type mushroom tile).
To improve the experience, (1) give a notice more clearly; (2) remain more reward aftrer enlargement, maybe old mushroom tiles convert to resources by a rule; (3) make the Enlargement can be upgraded for some effects but not "restart", until it reach the max levels then the next upgrading is meaning "restart".
Neat! It instantly reminded me of cookie clickers :D nice job!
I like the game and I think it's a little bit addictive :) The one problem for me is that it is somewhat confusing and you should have a proper tutorial in order to start playing, in a particular way in the first phases of the game. Overall, a good job :) I hope you keep improving it!
The particular tutorial which using a mask layer to limit player's interaction area and show some arrows, I need more time to design and implement this, I never write this before.
A quick way may be using the current "First running Quest Board" UI, make the first several quests have some player's interaction guide description.
Cool idea - I have fun playing!
I like the mushroom setting, but it's true that the initial progress is a bit slow and confusing. I think it would be good to simplify the mechanics at the beginning for better progress. Anyway, these games are always a bit addictive, and this one is no exception, so good job ^^
Nice take on the idle genre, I liked the combination with the map view where you had to careful pick where to place resources to get the max gains. Thanks for all the tooltips / explanation, it was useful to understand what was happening. I felt it difficult to grow after some time, it felt that the objectives were really far down the line. Great job!
I thought the mushroom farming mechanic in the hexagon area was really interesting and it was important to place mushrooms carefully to maximize growth potential. But I didn't realize that when I first started playing, so I filled the entire area with mushrooms that wouldn't grow and I couldn't find any way to delete of the unwanted mushrooms.
Once I got to the next enlargement, it cleared and I could start planning properly, but I think those mistakes slowed my progression quite a bit. Would be nice to have a way to remove mushrooms, even if you lose the initial cost to plant them.
Great to meet a fellow FUNgi!
We do enjoy our fair share of idle clicker games, and we're glad we can add this one to the list! If you ever decided to keep going through and developing the project we think it'd be great to see even more different mushrooms in the game.
Overall, you've made a simple yet fun clicker game that we enjoyed playing :)

I clicked quite a bit and upgraded but ultimately felt a bit lost.
I really love the music and the whole vibe to it. I am running this in the background now while I check out other entries.
edit: it would be nice if you could remove mushrooms you planted. I accidentally placed a couple that cant grow.
I don't think I could figure out how to play it. I tried poking around for a while to see what I was missing but don't see a way to actually progress beyond just clicking the center mushroom for more points.
Game-off-2021 was the first time I joined a online jam and learn the engine Libgdx. I submited a idle game themed bee farming.
After the 2021 jam, I developed the project and made it as an idle game framework. During the pass two years, I (or my team) made some other idle games based on the framework, even translated the framework to Unity.
In 2023, the framework come back to the GameOff as the game Idle Mushroom.
