Fun game! Pixel art is cute and the style is super coherent! It took me a little bit to recognize the mosquito

Favorite platformer concept wise, the ball mode was really fun when I executed it successfully! At the same time, I really struggled with making it line up with ramps sometimes and unfortunately couldn't beat the game. I do have skill issues, but I wish it was a little more forgiving to clamp onto a ramp since often the ball would not cooperate and it isn't super intuitive for me on what exactly allows me to properly slide. I think this combined with the slightly long death animation and respawn time as well as the mouse not locking to the window was frustrating for me, but I really love the concept and it stands out from the other platformers in the jam! Also, love the intro.
This is my favorite game from this jam gameplay-wise. I probably spent close to an hour completing this game partly because of my stupidity, but the game loop is super satisfying.
Gotta say, Cyber Slime Alpha is the hardest boss in the game because it's the first encounter that actually checks if you can use the mechanics properly. It took me to my fifth attempt to realize that I had batteries which is probably why. I kept hitting 0 Juice after reaching Phase 2, and sapping juice was only enough to sustain health.
From there the game is super satisfying, fighting mechanics are just very rewarding. The Juice and Heat combos are really clever and I love the way you have to manage resources! I also like that Evil uses the same system, it would be cool if all enemies had the resources and the game leaned into tampering with their meters as well. I wish I could fight the mosquito. Also D: Neuro is heartless.
The game is super nice looking and the small touches like the instrument changes between Neuro and Evil are really neat. The puzzles are pretty interesting and satisfying. At the same time, for certain parts, I felt like I was doing trial and error. All the visual details are great and the environment is just super pretty.
Not sure what triggers this, but the mirror relic doesn't work in the very first level. Evil ends up spawning when entering the mirrored zone but doesn't move and just stares into my soul. Not doing anything in particular just walking up to the pedestal and placing the mirror seems to not work. Further interaction with the pedestal, resetting the level, and restarting or reinstalling the game don't appear to fix it.
Game looks really fun. The art is great too.
Pretty fun short and sweet game! The attack where damage zones spawn feels like it could be telegraphed a bit more. Combat is simple, wish player would slash in the direction of mouse rather than movement but I guess old school games were like this. Visuals are very very good and music is pretty hype though not sure if it totally fits.
Editing just to say it again, the spritework is actually insanely nice.
Small bug feature where you can kill the bosses while they are talking.
Really unique game! Music, sfx, and visuals are polished really well. Overall game feels really nice to play and is very intuitive and lets you figure things out. Discovering mechanics on the go was pretty satisfying, such as learning to use the gymbags to tank fire.
The boss fight feels a little too difficult but perhaps it's a skill issue. I think it could be interesting if more of the items were incorporated into the final boss fight.
Small Note:
Resetting the level with R seems to break the game at least in the WebGL version. Clicking on the level in the left menu selection to reset it works fine though.
