Sharks! *slaps forehead* I KNEW we forgot something.

Thank you for taking the time out to play our game =D

Keep the momentum going and do it! And feel free to keep me in the loop, even if it's for testing XD I'll be cheering you on.

Interstate '76 vibes here.  I loved it.

Shooting mechanics and driving both felt solid.

I'd like to see you build on this and make a complete game.

This has the bones of being fleshed out into a great game.

I always appreciate effort put into making it a complete game experience i.e. menus, settings, pause menus and this has the works.

Great effort and submission.

Very well realised location, cinematics and gameplay.

My first two playthroughs though, the same thing happened - the priest got stuck directly outside the church against some debris and just stood spinning.  So he got killed pretty quickly.

Other than that, tremendous effort has gone into this and it shows.

Well done.

Fantastic game.  This feels retro, fresh and new all at the same time.  I could see myself losing a lot of time to this.

Excellent submission, well done.

Well done for finding it! There's unfortunately no pay-off for solving it apart from the satisfaction =)

Very clean implementation, well done.  I never felt out of my depth while the waves were coming.  Everything felt well considered ending up in a well-rounded game loop.  Good job!

We are delighted you took the time to play our game and enjoyed it.  Thank you!

And thank you for your feedback. We will definitely take that in going forward.

Thank you for taking the time to play.  Highly appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time to play and your valuable feedback!

Your initial instincts were actually correct - the idea is to have all targets lit up at the same time (and yes, the puzzle you posted is solvable in that way ;D).  In the uploaded build it's a bug that allows a puzzle to be solved if a target was hit at least once at some point.

It has already been fixed, but we will upload the fix after the jam voting period has completed as it's not a game breaking bug (in fact, it's the opposite? =D)

If by 'ceiling puzzle' you are referring to the puzzle inside the ceiling of the shrine inside the village, then yes, that's a secret puzzle =)

Keep the momentum going and go for it!

Fantastic effort.  When can we expect the full release? =D

Thank you for taking the time to play our game, especially one that's in a genre not in your regular wheelhouse. And thank you very much for the kind feedback!

Highly appreciated.

The attack felt a little slow and I met my demise very quickly XD

But this is a well polished entry.  Very well done.

This is very enjoyable.  Rocking sound track.

Great story and idea.  I would like a full version with multiplayer of this.

I was unsure of who I should be shooting, so I was just shooting everybody.

Well done for including settings and multiple levels as well.

Thank you for the feedback and for playing!

Great mechanics and very nice story for the game!

Thank you very much for the feedback - we'll definitely take it into the mix for future updates.

And thanks for playing!

Really clean and well implemented game loop.

Loved the old-school menu with parts of the image representing options.

Well done.

Bless your soul! Thank you very much!

This is dastardly.....it's difficult to the point that you end saying "....just one more time.  I can do this" XD

Well done.  A really solid game with good mechanics.

I'm always a fan of minimalist design and indicating health in a world element is a particular favourite.  Well done.

I enjoyed playing through this and wanted to, nay, needed to see it through to get this little guy to the big tree in the distance.

The end section I was unable to run or plant anymore (not sure if this is intentional), so that section leading up to the final tree became quite tense as I had to walk through fire.

Well done on a really good game.

Such a sad story......no world should be without hot dogs.

I enjoyed this a lot.  It's frantic and who doesn't love a frantic hot dog =D

My only criticism would be, the people who demanded hot dogs while I was busy reading the tutorial.  How rude they are....

I've been a gamer and a fan of the creative process for nary on 30 years! And game jams always felt like a far off dream.

But we put in the time, learned Unreal and submitted our first game jam game of which we're super proud!

I'd love to hear thoughts, comments and ideas!

Working on this was so much fun and so rewarding, we might even consider turning this into a full fledged game.

I'm definitely proud of what we achieved in a week (due to logistics, we could only start on the 27th!):

Our ambitious submission!

https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2750444

Been wanting to do a game jam for so many years, and here we are releasing our first game jam entry!  Exciting times and a great community to boot.
