Wow! The art and the music are really well done!
The only feedback I have is that some of the enemies spawn far too close to the player.
Anyway, great work!

I tried it, and it was intense. It took me dozens of attempts, but eventually got there.
One issue I've had is that the red spinning gear thingy that chases after you arrives way too fast, giving you too little time to react. That's mostly why I failed a lot.
One trick I used on the second level was to get behind it by hiding under a block lol.
Anyway, the art is cool! Nice entry!
This is my first ever game jam, and it was so much fun!
In one whole week I made great progress in my game, Low Lying Islands, and I'm satisfied with the result.
If you'd like to try, here's the link: https://redsatura.itch.io/low-lying-islands
In this jam, I learned:
-How to manage my time properly (for real, this time! Juggling school and gamedev is a difficult but rewarding task!)
-GDScript static typing exists and performance is way better now
-A bit of music theory. I made a song with just a basic chord progression and I'm really proud of myself!
-Learned how to use Inkscape. I made assets with it a lot faster, and it was easy to use.
-Accepting that the features I want will never get done in time for the jam, and I have to cut them off no matter how painful it is.
What do you think? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Finished with a 68 score. The idea is great.
I literally had no idea how to get to the places on top of the map then blew my mind when I found that you could get larger when you moved towards the camera.
I'd like a bit more variety in the screens, as it's mostly pointing at Canada again and again.
Anyway, great work! I enjoyed it!
For me, the game was super slow at the beginning. I was building houses to try to increase my money, but that didn't really boost it that much. Then I realized the shop existed and my money production exploded.
Overall, it's a fun little game. The game should be sped up, or be given the option to speed up, in my opinion.
This was really fun! I got to a score of 1620 before I died.
The art was okay, but the upgrades were what really made it fun! I liked collecting gems while running from hordes of monsters at the same time.
There's some kind of health potion near the base that I couldn't access though?
Anyway, cool game overall, great work!
The comic at the start was great! I liked the art style.
The controls could use some work, though. I had difficulty jumping upwards normally, and the jet pack took some time getting used to.
Also, there's a flashlight that made everything darker somehow? Not sure about that.
Anyway, a great job overall!
Hello! Please check out mine too! Thank you, will check out yours as well! :)

Hello!
This is my first ever game jam, and it has been so much fun! (Even while tired, it was a fun ride all week!)
I got to learn a lot of things about assets, music, and most importantly, improving my code.
My submission, Low Lying Islands, is a game about placing buildings to withstand typhoons.
How long will you last?
Anyway, I would really appreciate it if you play it! I'm extremely proud to see what I could do in just a week!
Here's the game link. Hope you enjoy!
