Like the idea a lot, would improve some level design to avoid hitting my head against a roof when trying to reach an other platform and if I could see abit more to where im going would be nice, very good potential

Really great game! Didn't have any issues with the platforming mechanic and movement felt pretty good but couldn't really progress after I got the helmet, I couldn't go up or fly, and the other way was blocker by a box

Would suggest fixing some parts of the level design tho, If I bump my head one more time I might get brain damage. Also a map would be a good addition in my opinion

Developer

Thanks for the feedback :)

After hours of test I still didn't know how the player is still alive after of the collisions

Besides the fact I got softlocked twice. It looks good, it sound good it remarcably feels good to play. In the end, a solid game

Developer

Thank you for your feedback snd sorry for the softlock the level was finish like 20 minutes before the end so we didn’t had the time to change it

I absolutely like the art and music of the game!

I think it is hard, to create jump and run mechanics that feel good in the span of a game jam which I state because I fell down in the first level and trying to jump back up to the lever was quite frustrating. Maybe having some coyote time or jump buffering could’ve helped? I dont know - as I said: I think it is hard to get right and in a Game Jam restricted time frame even more so.

But then I got the Jet Pack (and other Stuff) and it is awesome to just fly through the ship. I absolutely respect having the guts to create such a powerful jetpack in a jump and run game. And it indeed felt great to be able to fly through those parts I had to painstakingly climb before.

All in all a good experience and I hope you had fun creating it!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. The coyote jump is in the game but for an unknown reason it works in the editor but not in the game after export

Submitted(+1)

It was fun playing it anyway!

Simply amazing! The visuals, gameplay, and overall flow are flawless.

Developer

Thanks a lot :)

Love the art and the spacey music. I was really impressed with the comic style introduction.

I had a really difficult time with the jump timing on this. The narrow jump window made it really frustrating. Not sure if that was the intention or not. It seemed more geared towards exploring the ship since there was no clear indication of direction. With both frustrations combined, I found myself not wanting to continue, but I pressed on, finding the helmet, then jetpack, then flashlight and making my escape.

Overall it's a great submission despite my personal trials. I could see others having a very different experience. Well done!

Developer

Hi, thanks for the detailed feedback, it's really helpful !

The game is good, looks like a full game and it doesn't look at all like you made it in just a week. You guys are great!

The only thing is I was constantly confused in the control when I got the jetpack and then when the flashlight and I could not figure out where to go, but I loved the game a lot!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much 🙂

Developer(+1)

Thank you. I'm happy my plan to lose the player with the flashlight worked on at least one player.

Really great graphics ! On my side I think the best part of the game is the background music track, for a jam that's one of the very very few that doesn't sound repetitive even after listening to it for 10 minutes in a row so really great job.

Here are my two cents about the game : I really struggled with the character movements until I found the jetpack (which felt really good to go through the LD using it). In my opinion, the game would have been really better with the camera a lot unzoomed because the zoomed camera made me feel like I was inside a gigantic maze and didn't know were to go at all (maybe that's what you were trying to reach tho). Maybe it would have been good to add some small assets like posters or noticeable items like that in the LD so that player could somehow locate themselves as they progress further.

Anyway, aside from that you all did an amazing job, the introduction comic book looks sick ! Congratulation !

Developer

Thanks for the feedback ! Glad you enjoyed the music, it was made by our team member Splittheatom, he did an awesome job ^^

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. The LD was designed like a maze and we had plan to add sign and other stuff to help the player but we just didn't have the time (the last level was finished like 20 minutes before the end of the jam so it was very difficult to add the signs that we already have with some other stuff for the props in the assets)

Developer

Thanks so much for the nice words about the music, it was a lot of fun to make!

Incredible artwork, complemented by the music it helps set a really nice vibe. The artistic vision is really clearly defined here. I struggled a bit with some of the platforming, and I wonder if tightening some of the colliders would've helped. It felt a bit claustrophic at times getting caught in between small platforms, but that might have been the mood you were going for! Really nice work overall especially for a week!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, that helps a lot :)

Beautiful game, good art.

It feels a bit like getting over it, it's so hard to make some jumps and they require very precise timing. My character really must have a concussion after this cause he was banging his head into the roof, over and over and over again.

In the end I got lost and I think i accidently came back to the beginning after I got a big bubble fish bowl thing over my head, I couldnt figure out what to do with it.

I like your music as well, good work!

Developer

Hi, thanks for you feedback ! Yup, there's jumps with a narrow timing, the jump buffer should help though.

Getting lost ingame is another story, we lacked a bit of time to add clearer indications on where to go, sorry about that ^^ Thanks for playing though !

Great art ! 👌👍

Developer

Thanks a lot :)

The visuals of your game are great, and the same goes for the music and SFX, which do a great job!

Developer

Thank you very much ^_^

Wow, very nice looking game!

Like what you've done!

Good job! :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks :)

I think I softlocked...

Developer

Hi, yes unfortunately we still have softlock issues :/ boxes seem tricky. Thanks for letting us know !

Submitted(+1)

The character is cute. The map is a bit hard to navigate/know where to go. I might have been soft locked? But I'm not sure. Great effort by everyone

Developer

Hi, thanks for your feedback ! Some people have been softlocked yes, mostly with boxes it seems, thanks for letting us know !

Submitted(+1)

The art style is good but the character feels like they are a bit too large/clunky
Its especially hard to make the jumps with something over head.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated :)

Submitted(+1)

The comic at the start was great! I liked the art style.
The controls could use some work, though. I had difficulty jumping upwards normally, and the jet pack took some time getting used to.
Also, there's a flashlight that made everything darker somehow? Not sure about that.
Anyway, a great job overall!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback ! The ship is supposed to get more and more malfunctions as you go (hence the lights turning off at some point), but we ran out of time to stage all that, hence the confusion ^^

Submitted(+1)

Great art at the start and nice character design. The controls could be a bit better and unfortunately I got soft locked with one of the boxes. Otherwise nice little platformer :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback ! Yup there's some rough edges here and there, we ran a bit out of time! Sorry for the softlock, and thanks again for playing !

Submitted(+1)

Great little submission here, the art style is really nice and the character is funny to look at :D great work
