How does your game fit the theme?
Our game is about cooking for the client requests, at first the customers will order a small amount of food.. Until there's a special hour that makes all the customers more hungrier and orders a big amount of foods.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, we used unity but the art, music, and C# was made from scratch.

I love the art and the music! My one concern is the gameplay. It felt very repetitive - get the steak, cook it, and feed the clients. Overall, though, the personality of the characters and the great intro cutscene worked great!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The graphics are amazing. And The music is perfect. Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Appreciate that. thanks!

I like the art style and music, but I think the instructions can be made a bit more clearer, such as a tutorial of some kind.

Developer

Thank you!

Developer

Yes definitely! Thanks for playing the game!

Cool game that is carried by neat artwork (and the comic intro was a great fast way of doing exposition! Sure beats a word-wall), but clearly was mechanically stripped down due to time limitation, and so is a bit repetitive and doesn't build interest for later levels. But that is simply the cost of a game jam, and you should be glad that your game held up (I didn't encounter any bugs, for instance)!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, that was very useful feedback!

The art and sound were amazing, i loved the whole story and vibe

The gameplay was a bit repetitive tho, the first level was a lot of just waiting for clients, and the later levels were more about quickly smashing space

With some new recipes or challenges inside the kitchen this game could be a lot of fun!

Thank you for playing! We will think about what you said.

Haha this game has a lot of personality!! I love it! Amazing work!!

Developer

Thank you :D!

An interesting looking game :). But in my opinion, I think that the game is a bit too simple, thinking that it should be a stresfull kind of game. And also, try to make the UI not overlapping in the game, makes a bit harder to read/notice them :).

Hope you'll also rate mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

Developer

The reason for the simple game loop is we were working on fighting. and it was too buggy, so we had to scrap 3 days. But thanks for the feedback, and I'll be sure to rate your game!

now that is a nice looking game, congratz on the artwork, loved the cartoon story at the beginning!

Developer

Thank you so much! That really means a lot

I figured it out but I thought it wasn't clear that at the cutting board you are supposed to press the interact button very fast in succession, especially before seeing the preparation animation. I think in the itch.io page it should say that you may need to press the interact button repeatedly (or "spam" it) to interact with some things.

Other than that I really liked the visual style, music, and the gameplay was simple but very fun, really nice job on this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, we are currently working on a tutorial, so this will be fixed. But I'll edit the itch page right away.

Loved your artstyle! Game has potential! Gj! Please check out my submission, hope you will enjoy its artstyle too!

Developer

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'll be sure to check out your game.

Hey Sniper, it's Two_Colours, came to say I am extremely apologetic for not returning your message. If you're working on anything anytime soon I'd love for you to reach out again, again, sincerely sorry for missing your message.

It's okay! I understand.  Millisecond Studios is currently working on a game but there is no current public information. You can join our discord if you want https://discord.gg/ahNPgYa8n6 (you don't have to). But after the game jam I'll be sure to let you know. Have a nice day :D

It's noticeable that the gameplay is cut down, but the sound and art style are great. There were no critical bugs or errors, the only minor drawbacks are the lack of plate highlighting and not very balanced levels. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! I'll definitely keep those in mind for future updates.

it's a pity we can't rate a 6 star, because that art was astonishing. That Setting build up with a cartoon was great, gj mate!

I really appreciate the positivity! Thank you so much and I'm so glad you liked it!

Fun game and idea. I don't know why, but it had some funky Toejam and Earl vibes which was my first game I played on my console back in the 90ies! Really awesome art and funky music :D Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!

Never heard of that game before but went look gameplay and its really cool visualy and musically. Thanks for the feedback!

The art and music are really charming and the premise of the game is absurd in a good way! However, it was EXTREMELY hard to figure out what to do ingame; a tutorial or even some instructions in the description would've been nice.

Developer

We are working on a tutorial now. Thank you for you feedback and glad you liked it!

The art and music are great but the game is L\lacking many key gameplay elements that would've made this really fun.

Developer

The reason for the boring game loop is we were working on fighting. and it was too buggy, so we had to scrap 3 days.  But I"m glad you still liked the art and music!

When I read the game description about frantically balancing the need to serve the dragons food and gradually digging up a tunnel to escape, all the while not angering the customers without food or showing that you are trying to escape, I was tried quite intrigued and was ready for a frantic game loop. It was a bit disappointing that this wasn't the case, and all that left was a bare-bones version of Overcooked, down to not having much tension to begin with when all one does is serve dragons food from one all-purpose cooking station. This is definitely due to the lack of time in the game jam, but it felt like a lot of effort was put into everything but the core game loop.

That being said, the rest of the game is done well. The art and music are splendid to look at as I played, from the intro cutscene to seeing the many details in the background of the main game.

The game has a great aesthetic! It would be cool if there was also a mechanic tied to digging the hole.

Developer

Oh, good idea! Thank you!

Great art -- if everything was consistent all the way through (outlines/style of the character, the UI, and the background all being cohesive), it would have been perfect

The gameplay itself could have been more complex: more dishes, more minigames, more chaos

Nice submission otherwise

Developer

We are working on better game play now. Thank you for the detail!

Submitted

Wow, what great art and sounds.

I found the gameloop a little unintuitive at first, and the gameplay does not seem to get more complex, I think that's where the game can improve the most.

Great job guys, keep it up!!

Developer

Thank you! We are currently working on more complex gameplay. The reason it's so simple is we were working on fighting mechanics, but we then found it too buggy and had to scrap it.

The gameplay, while it could go more in depth, is still very fun at it's current state. The audio is well made and fits the setting.

The visuals... Are an absolute beauty! Solid game 👍

Thanks for the feedback!
