How does your game fit the theme?
The game is a top-down shooter split into day and night time. The day is the calm before the storm where the player prepares for the night. They can heal, buy upgrades and place towers. The night is the storm, where it is dark and rainy and the player must defend themselves and their home from a horde of monsters.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
My friends and I produced the code and most assets. The existing assets we used were:
Overworld - Grass Biome by Beast

Pixel Art GUI Elements by Mounir Tohami

Hey everyone. Thank you for playing our game and giving us feedback.

We added a new turret and more ways to spend resources. All the unit sprites are animated now, and there are a bunch of QoL and balance changes.

There probably won't be any significant updates after this, but I'm happy with how the game turned out

Cool and detailed tower defense/survivor game. The slow movement made the game feel a bit sluggish, and sometimes I couldn't shoot properly, but I liked the blending of genres.

Very Cool!

Super polished!

I didn't know the player could attack until later LOL

At first the movement felt really slow but as I upgraded it it did feel better so very rewarding indeed, good reward system that keeps the player engaged :D

The game is fun, it makes you feel powerful in those 7 days, after that, it start to feel a bit weaker with the passage of days, more from day 13 haha

It really feels calm in the day and stormy on the nights from night 8, I liked the windy and witch sprites, also it’s nice to see when the bull is going to attack but the biggest bull feels a bit troublesome only for it’s enormous hitbox and the amount that spawn later on and for the amount, can be a little hard to eliminate the other mobs that attack the house

I would have liked that after night 7 there were a bit of upgrades on the attack, maybe just another fireball and a bit more of damage, just to spend the drops you collect after upgrading everything or being able to restore a little bit of the house, I lost the game because of that

The songs feel nice and everythings feels nice together, I wonder what it’s on night 20 but I just leave my end game screen

Fun little time playing the game :)

Thanks for the feedback. The upgrades were only balanced so far as day 7, while the enemies just keep getting stronger. Definitely plan to add more things to spend resources on after day 7.

This is such a well scoped game, you were able to create resources, rewards and the mechanics and overall a fun and complete game already.

Great Work!

Great game! I really enjoyed the mix of daytime resource management and nighttime defense. The upgrade system added a nice layer of strategy, and it kept things engaging. It would be cool to see some more variety in enemy behavior, but overall, it was a solid and fun experience. Well done!

Fun game! I enjoyed the use of the theme, having a daytime management and upgrade period then a night time defense period. well done!

a bit too static regarding the assets, though i enjoyed the visuals nonetheless! very fun gameplay to boot!

First to score a 5/5 from me on the fun category. No blemishes that made the game any sort of boring! This is one of my top picks.

super fun game! Congrats!

The game is great, but you should add more animations because everything is  too static. Overoll I really enjoy your game. :D

I really enjoyed playing it! I have a feeling you might like my game too—it’s somewhat similar to yours, though I’m not sure what the genre is called. I wish I had thought of making the enemies bigger in my game, haha!

I love the art and the way you handle the theme! I couldn't beat though since I have a massive issue with WASD keys... please add arrow keys as an option please?

Developer(+1)

Funny enough there used to be arrow key movement at some point in development. I don't think I can update the game until the jam is over though but I will keep accessibility in mind.

pretty classically well done, good job! the upgrade system/turrets provided player with lots of choice, lots of enemy variety. was a little disappointed that the enemies behavior wasnt very unique, but there was that some enemies would chase you, and others would attack base. overall, could use some innovation though. the mechanics were done well enough, but there werent really any "unique" mechanics in my opinion. this a really nice entry overall though, thanks for entering!
