What a unique take! Kept me interested the whole time playing through it.

Cute little puzzle platformer! Enjoyed the experience even with the bugs.
I couldn't figure out level 7, but otherwise an overall enjoyable experience! Also noticed hitting space to jump when having more than one power charge snapped the block to the mouse which made level 5 difficult until I realized you could just use W to jump as well which then made it my favorite level to complete! Selecting levels and hitting next level got them out of order as well I think for the heads up.
Edit: Nvm I'm dumb level 7 I thought you needed to place the block pixel perfect but you can just make the jump.
Fun little puzzle game! I managed to break out of bounds on accident when growing in a small tunnel but otherwise a pleasant experience! Could be cool to add a co-op mode Fire boy and Water girl style so you could either play as both at once or play with a friend! Level design was good as well, though not super stylish but I can understand not having an artist or wanting to spend more time on mechanics and content in levels.
Overall great game!
Fun zombie survival game! It was satisfying to get headshots. Found it a bit hard to tell where they were coming from until they were on top of me from behind, but the player at full health can take a few hits so it wasn't a problem. Also very long end screen if you get a big score lol I was sitting there for over a minute waiting for the results. Very fun overall full marks here!
Fun little Tetris-like game! Love being able to fly around and shoot down the pieces where you want! A suggestion to fix the getting stuck issue is to have right click break blocks instead of shooting them down. Or you could even made the same shot break it if you hit the same thing twice! Could add an extra level of difficulty.
Fun little platformer! Character itself being the one to shrink and grow is always a fun idea. Would be cool if you could jump higher or dash farther or something as you got smaller as an added function since the actual act of shrinking is only really used as another way to showcase your health. Also pretty impressive title screen!
For the heads up, the game crashes for me when I hit escape to close the game, haven't seen anyone mention that yet so thought I'd bring it up.
Great job!
Very polished little auto scroller! Only critique I had was the scrolling was very choppy but maybe the download version is smoother. Either way fun little game, I'm curious if there are different endings based on coins, died twice before finally reaching the end with 128 coins so never found out but still fun for a one time playthrough!
Full stars here, very lucky I noticed the checkpoint tab in the menu cause I was just barely short of reaching my first one 3 times and nearly gave up. After then I 100% it lol overall a great experience and the control scheme is very neat and easy to quickly get acclimated to once you've gotten a couple checkpoints. Honestly the first section where I was learning was the hardest part haha. Very impressed with the level design as well. Overall a great experience.
Only critiques were the bookshelf bottom ledge coins I didn't think you could reach them until halfway through the game where I realized the jump goes higher at higher speeds and even then it's a pretty tight jump for what I'm guessing are easy coins. Also noticed camera freaks out and gets inverted when looking straight down. Was able to do it again to fix it. Also fell so fast down at one point I phased through a box from tower of truth checkpoint lol
Holy crap this got my heart pumping a bit playing, love the design and art and everything!
I'm not great at these sorts of games so this could be just a me thing, but possibly increasing the size for timing of changing hammer directions after hitting something would be nice. Coming from recently playing hi-fi rush, it was hard for me to figure out the timing consistently.
Overall, a very well made game!
Stairs the game! Haha jk very fun game I sunk a good chunk of time playing it! Puzzles were challenging but not too difficult and fun. The difficulty progression felt just right as well I never felt like one puzzle was a sudden jump in difficulty.
Not so much a critique but a suggestion for a similar future game, it would be cool to collect hammers and switch between editing and playing the level somehow! Would add a bit more variety and possibly add more interesting puzzles!
I walked up to the wall and exploded. Very loud didn't like. Game itself is fun and enjoyable, some ambient music or wind sfx would add to enjoyability and make up for the absolute ear blast of the explosion. Also as stated in description collision is missing in a lot of places I noticed in my record a lot of people got stuck at the same part cause of it. Otherwise I enjoyed getting up to that point!
Wow, just wow the amount of polish this game has artistically is insane. Color levels, particles, fitting music and sfx. And not to mention gameplay is very fun and satisfying!
One of the few critiques I would have is having a transition for charging up added on top of the sound effect. I didn't realize until halfway that the eyes get slightly taller when fully charged, could be nicer if they slowly open wider to indicate charge strength! I actually didn't mind not having a direction bar for where you're going, it was usually pretty accurate regardless. Also right clicking to reel in would be nice to reel in a bit over time rather than one click all at once for more precision!
Holy crap this is one of the best games I've played so far for this jam! Very simplistic but fun and addicting! Cat audio really enhanced the experience. Also loved the little collectibles. My only critique would be to make the cat not reset if hitting a wall or only stretch yourself halfway depending on how long you hold a direction but I can understand if that would take a lot of extra coding or is simply part of the challenge and I appreciate that time being spent more on levels and gameplay. For how long the game is the music did get pretty repetitive.
Also I did smash myself into the ground with the yarn ball by accident lol and I didn't realize there was a death counter until spamming the restart button on the menu for the sound effect XD
Had to really channel my old Geometry Dash skills for this one haha definitely fun challenging! Other than the counter going up, I wasn't sure at first how the game related to the theme without reading the story, maybe giving some more detail in game on what's happening? Or an added gameplay element where the player grows and shrinks intermittently could also add an extra challenge and relate to the theme more!
Amazing little game! Customization was a nice touch. I wasn't sure if I was replaying the same level hard to differentiate until the ending played. I still loved the art style though! Also somehow flipped myself over in a corner before hooking onto something and couldn't get out which was nice that there was a restart button. I actually accidentally hit the restart button when climbing, maybe making it be the r key and text saying "r to restart" would be a better alternative? Background scrolling was a little slow. Since it's a racing sort of game, it made it hard to go faster than a certain speed. I would love to play a version of this with more variety and scale taller walls!
Sorry to hear that you couldn't quite finish it! I believe in that room you grow the light where a hole is to cause it to pop out and have the fan blow it. I can understand how that might not be apparent as it's the first object to gain physics while starting static and same for picking up objects. Thank you for playing though!
One of the best games I've played so far in this jam! Only critique I had was sometimes I had to keep attempting the same jump until I was small enough to make it but otherwise everything felt really balanced and the checkpoints for health were perfect for not having to backtrack at all. The style is simple yet detailed and everything fits the vibe perfectly! Overall a great experience!
Very neat concept! Audio would definitely improve this a ton even if it's basic sounds. Also would be nice to rotate object the other direction cause I would stop it a lot and it would just barely turn red and then I'd have to rotate it all the way around again. Otherwise fun and level progression difficulty was well done!
Really good gameplay! I feel like it would be more intuitive for the powers to be used based on the order you pick them up rather than going in reverse order from the last one you pick up, but I don't know how that would affect the puzzles I just know it broke my brain at first haha. Otherwise very entertaining game with a lot of content!
Really cool game! Love the Tetris inspiration. Found myself trying to use space to jump instead of W a lot might benefit from allowing both options! Not sure if the exploding barrels were supposed to damage the player? Also love the leniency with the fire, almost thought it didn't kill you until I got fully engulfed.
This concept is really awesome! I did struggle a bit due to having two monitors at different heights and the mouse not being locked to the window. The mouse would snap down suddenly. Not sure if you could make it visible while staying within the window. Also having the first picture be closer by or more obvious on where to go as the player is learning would be nice. Great concept otherwise!
Love the mechanic idea of scaling the face you shoot! Ran into a lot of small bugs when playing like opening and closing the weapon wheel. Sometimes it takes a second before it closes and if you click it again it keeps it open making it feel inconsistent if you don't realize that's what's happening. Also got myself stuck into the ground by growing and object while I was in front of it by accident lol but otherwise fun game!
I really enjoyed the concept! This would be a cool and fun way for kids to practice typing on keyboards. The attacks started slow enough at first too so there was plenty of time to figure out how each attack worked before it started getting harder.
My only slight complaint would be that I died once near the end of the dialogue and had to restart. I had no idea how close I was to finishing the game so I got close to not attempting it again. If there was a progress bar, that would help I think!
I appreciate the understanding! Yeah I could probably pick apart everything that needed work or could have been added. I spent around 10 hours just trying to get the mechanics of the blocks to work alone which left me with only 14 hours to do everything else. I definitely wanted to make the cubes work similar to gmod where you can hold e to rotate the object, but I didn't have enough time for that and wanted to create at least 5 working levels.
Anyways, glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing my first game jam :D
