Nice work and it's nice to see another stretchy cat game!

The levels seemed well put together and the extra collectables were a nice touch. The only real issue I had was that the physics objects would sometimes behave a little weird, such as bouncing around or even pushing me into a wall

Really great idea super simple but instantly fun and engaging with a perfect amount of spice

the stretching mechanism feels absolutely amazing. However, I think I found a bug where I accidentally stretched into a box and it fell out of the world haha

Holy crap this is one of the best games I've played so far for this jam! Very simplistic but fun and addicting! Cat audio really enhanced the experience. Also loved the little collectibles. My only critique would be to make the cat not reset if hitting a wall or only stretch yourself halfway depending on how long you hold a direction but I can understand if that would take a lot of extra coding or is simply part of the challenge and I appreciate that time being spent more on levels and gameplay. For how long the game is the music did get pretty repetitive.

Also I did smash myself into the ground with the yarn ball by accident lol and I didn't realize there was a death counter until spamming the restart button on the menu for the sound effect XD

Developer

Thank you for playing! We originally tried to do what you suggest having the cat stretch halfway, but unfortunately we weren't skilled enough to get that working within the timeframe and ended up with what you see here. Likewise for the music. But both of those things we would be excited to update once the jam is over. Thanks for the feedback! :)

this is a really cool platformer. I really enjoyed this game and all the levels.

This is a surprisingly tricky platformer! I will say I didn't realize you could move _without_ stretching at first which made things a lot harder

Great game, with good ideas with the stretch concept !

Little games but not very important

Maybe there is the visual art to upscale

a difficult game with a cute artstyle and an adorable mechanic! i love it ❤️

Submitted(+1)

The game is quite challenging, but I liked playing it.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked it, but in level 4 if you made a mistake, because you don't know what you need to do, you need to do so much over and just see your death counter going up.

Developer

Definitely something we are aware of after getting feedback on the game! We wanted to implement checkpoints but did not have time. Perhaps in a future update. Thanks for playing!

I like the stretching of the cat and the wooly ball is awesome.  Overall it's a bit of a Yoshi like experience. Well done.

Great concept and nice graphics! I really enjoyed it. Stretching the cat is a simple concept to understand but you have to get used to it, which makes it interesting to play around.

Good concept.  I enjoyed the fact that you can move around while being stretched out.

The stretch movement with the cat is spot on— it feels really satisfying, and the sounds are great too. The physics with the boxes are a bit clunky, but overall, it's a very lovely experience.

The stretch and pop glide was very satisfying! Love the sfx for it too. I couldn't get past lvl 2 lol but would have enjoyed having a lot of objects in the way with chaotic physics since flinging yourself into the box was fun

The cat was very cute. I like that you can hold down the arrow key to just keep the long cat long, and playing with the colliders of the objects while stretching the cat into it was fun. Something to keep in mind is the viewport (might just be me), as it was too big for my window and made it harder to see things and move around. (I also wasn't sure how to use the air wave, so I just kept spamming left and right arrow keys lol) Overall, very cute and fun game with new mechanics every level. Great job!

Really cool but i had to reset the first level a few times for that door to open with the cube.

Forgot to mention i love that cat art.

Developer(+1)

We made the physics as good as we could in the time limit but there is definitely room for improvement, haha! Thank you for playing!

STRETCH CAT!!!! The mechanics were fun and I love the SFX. Great work

Really cool stretch implementation!

Developer

Thank you! A huge amount of the jam time went into getting it working properly! (or as properly as we could, haha)

Pretty cool game. I noticed you can move and stretch the cat at the same time. It kinda makes a gliding movement. But impressive, nonetheless. Fun game. Great Entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The later levels make use of the gliding :) It's a feature!

Oh I didnt know, I'll be back to play this and finish it.  This game is pretty hard tho. I can't even finish level 2.
