Developer

thanks for the  feedback, we will fix it after the jam

Interesting concept! But it’s definitely worth adding navigation tips to the game or simplifying the level a little. I got lost several times! 😄

Developer(+1)

Sure we'll do it after the game jam and thanks for playing our game

The game is absolutely gorgeous, it's incredible how much you did with such simple graphics.

However, mechanically it is very lacking. The sonar mechanic serves no purpose other than blinding you at the worst time when you're dodging a moving obstacle.

The player hitbox is immense, making sneaking through narrow passages impossible. There are often times you think you can squeeze between a mine and the terrain just to be dragged by your hitbox to hit the mine.

There are several background features that look exactly the same as the level walls, making it guesswork to figure out whether you can pass through a black spot or not.

I found it very easy to get lost, there is no way to know which way is "forward", if you're making any progress or what.

There is potential, especially being a jam game, and these issues can be very easily fixed and improved upon. Keep it up! Focus on the making the core mechanics, moving and sonar, feel good to use.

Thanks for reviewing the game, i know it's not perfect bec the game like you said in a jam, we will fix it and thanks for playing the game again

The atmosphere, lighting and sound design really make you feel like you're underwater. The game itself was fun and quite challenging. Really loved the mechanics of having to consentrate on your ability to see things; it added a fun and unexpected challenge and caught me off guard multiple times. Nice game, good job!

Developer

thanks a lot for playing our game

Very nice game!

Developer

Thanks bro

Good job with the deep sea atmosphere! I noticed when I was using the sonar that the game would lock up for a second before continuing, but that may just be a browser bug. Nice work!

Developer

thanks a lot we are really appreciate your comment

I could barely see the tunnel, took a while to figure you have the sonar ability. There are so many possibilities how the sonar might have a bigger cooldown time, and you have to move from something in the dark by memory. The game has a great atmosphere, I like it!

Fun ideas. love the art, and the mechanics work pretty well too! the constantly having to do the dark thing makes it slightly tedious and annoying, but good job nonetheless!

Developer

thanks for the  feedback, we could make it have more time

The atmosphere is nice and the art is pretty good. nice job!

thanks for playing our game!

It's a bit simple but the environment and atmosphere is amazing. Just curious, is the whole map drawn in one file? One problem I did notice was some invisible collision issues  where it seems like you should be able to fit.

oh thanks for the  feedback, we will fix it after the jam

I like the idea of sonar but I think you could have pushed the idea even further like for example being able to make it scanner sombre, the pixel art are cool, and the songs creates a good atmosphere, oveall the game is cool and had a great potential :D

Poor whale... who put those mines for the lil guy... Really good game, nice sound design and concept! Loved it!

Developer

Thanks a lot! We also feel sorry to make the whale go through those minefields :'(

Very fun experience, love the unique lighting mechanic although could be made more challenging. The music vibe matches the game wonderfully, but the sfx felt out of place, or perhaps too loud relatively.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback. We will surely look into it.

I think the resolution of the spikes should have been the same as the regular tiles, it is quite difficult to immediately identify the spikes they blend in with the terrain
but in general art palette is cool, good sounds

Developer

Thanks for playing the game, Appreciate your opinion i will fix the game after the game jam and the art is by Aust9nn i am just the programmer of the game :0

Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback. We will look into the game once the event is over.
