This game is a masterpiece!

I really enjoyed this game! The card game was simply but has some strategy and risk involved, so I enjoyed this alot. The Narrative was an amazing experience and was indeed hooked into it when the twist came along. Sound track wise was great but I highly implore polishing and fine tuning the sound effects more. The ONLY thing this game lacked was that Game Feel / Juice as they say, especially when attacking. But can be fixed with some better sound effects used and some well placed Camera Shakes.

All in all, highly well done mate!

This is a super polished and amazing experience. It's crazy you done this in such a short timeframe. The narrative is also really good and the twist halfway and the ending is such a shock. The card system is simple but very effective and well executed.

Very nice Mechanics and gameplay I LOVE IT <3

Damn. Really polished and well designed game. It has good old vibes of Inscryption. There are so much mechanics and possibilities, im shocked that this was done in 10 days. If there was browser version - it would be perfect. Well done!

Wow, great intro and great tutorial sequence. You do a good job of explaining how the game works and it feels very rewarding laying out a good attack. The UI feels very fluid and the little animations are plenty of visual stimulation to keep you engaged. I really like the chance elements mixed with the other mechanics, getting the shape boosters feels great, especially with more elaborate animations.

I really enjoyed the narrative presentation and did not expect it to get that heavy. Struggled for a long time on round 4 but it felt great finally beating 'my game'. Great ending though, it felt well worth it to see this through to the end.

I think I found a bit of a bug on round 4 where by hitting 'exit game' right before failing, I reset my health but the match continued. It managed to fix itself when clicking exit game again though.

Phenomenal work all together, this has some serious vibes and is thoroughly enjoyable to experience, even with the dark subject matter. Building the deck felt great, getting cards from the store felt so rewarding, and repeating battles somehow felt more fun each time.

My only real suggestion is some kind of possible function to draw more than 2 cards at once, it can feel a little painful towards the end of matches. Outside of that, wow! Such polish, elegance, and love put into this. Awesome work!

Thank you so much!

About the card issue. I actually had ideas to increase draws in the second part of the game, but it might break the balance of the game and I was afraid I wouldn't have time to tweak it. As an alternative, I thought about adding the ability to discard a couple cards, but time was already running out. I will try to solve this problem in the post-jam patch.

Oh my god. I can't even express how good this game was—but I'm going to try. Prepare yourself...

Let's ignore the emotional story for now and start with the gameplay and mechanics. This game gave me the same addictive dopamine rush I got from Witcher 3's Gwent. And I really loved Gwent; at least 90% of my hours in Witcher 3 were spent on it. For me, this game has the same vibes, and if it ever came out as a finalized product, I'd be hooked for life.

The animations, the animated text, every little detail, and the fact that nothing on the screen was ever really still made this game look so complete it feels like it took months to develop. I'm so impressed with the amount of work you put into this and I can't come up with a single negative thing to say about the game.

As for the story, I'm not sure if it was personal, but it sure felt like it. Personal or not, the message was important, and I hope anyone struggling with the topics represented in this game, or any mental health issues, finds peace and happiness in their life. The dialogue, or rather monologue, reminded me of Celeste, with all of the emotion expressed just through the sound effects and the speed of the text—they drastically added to the overall feeling of this game. The story was well-crafted from start to finish, and the "reboot" was a cool transition to the endgame.

The ending of this game was amazing. I obviously wish it was longer, but I do think it needed to end where it did. I liked the small detail where you had to deal 6 damage to the ???. I also especially loved the fact that the game closes when you finish it. It really felt like you told me a story, ended it with "That's it, there's nothing else left to say," closed the book on my face, and left me wanting for more. I don't know how this game only has 16 ratings as I'm writing this; it's truly a hidden gem.

TLDR: The game was good. Play it.

Thank you so much!

This game did come out finished, the only thing is that I will probably release a post jam patch (already in progress)

But I want to see the results of the jam, and if they are good, I think I'll take this project as a basis, but of course that will be another story.

Loved the art and specially the narrative. Very good job for 10 days!

SPOILER ALERT

What the heck was that. About halfway through the game, this didn't even feel like a jam game. It was fun at first and all, but then after that "patch", it started to become... deep. I genuinely felt uncomfortable, and if you gave me this game about 2 years ago i would've down-right cried. For most games, I usually say "good work" or "keep it up", but for this game, im just gonna say... Thank you. There are people who genuinely benefit from this game. Again, thank you.

This game is awesome! It is so polished for a game jam entry wow. I did not expect the story to get so dark. The card game is fun, it's really fun to get both of the shape boosters and do a bunch of damage.  The art is all great too. Really great job on this!

Jesus dude. By the last level my main thought was, "I really hope that this is just a story he thought up." Simply devastating. Really great job.

The card game itself was very fun and I liked the shape-matching mechanic. I had a lot of fun right up until the point that the fun turned into grief and horror. Very Shutter Island. My only critique is that the game was probably too easy, especially once I learned that I could replay the old levels and buy the upgrades I missed out on. The scripted events and narrative typing were outstanding. I also really liked how the arrow got BIGGER when you combo'd all the bonuses together.

Thank you for this.

Awesome! Always nice to see card games in jams, rare, but they're almost always fun. Everything was well done and fit in, jolly good work on it! ^^

Very fun! a complete story to which is BONUS POINTS! Finding the right card combos to do big damage was very fun. I felt like I was learning the game as I played and improving at it which I really enjoy!
