very fun game. I love your art.

Loved it, this game is perfect, I got to 2227 points and 108% accuracy. Unsure how that happened, but it definitely elicited a smile. Great fun game, would love to see more! I'll give you a follow. Also, the title screen is absolutely sick! Liked that you used gifs to show gameplay, and how your page was laid out with images. I will for sure be taking a page out of your execution.

Loved this game - had such an old school platform shooter feel to it.  Great job!

A cool game with just incredibly tactile pleasant shooting

This is pretty fun! There's a great amount of polish and that helps me get invested like the excessive game feel and fantastic visuals. In the end, I got 106.67 % accuracy. I'm not sure if going over 100% is a bug or a feature but either way, I feel good about that score.

Developer

Wow that is amazing. Congrats on the score. Must be a bug but I'm still impressed. I wish you had a screenshot of it. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice and simple, and the cover art is great!

Developer

Thanks Artemoose!

Thank you! For sure there will be more—follow for updates!

Fun little arcade shooter, easy to start off with but difficult to get down, it reminds be of the Kung Fury game in how you go back and forth shooting, good job!

Love the aesthetic for both the title screen and the in-game art.

Shooting is also super satisfying.

Was a bit confused when running out of time at the end but still progressing to the next stage, but overall still loved the look and feel of it all.

Could that be considered a bug? I'll address it in the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

This is actually super cool I feel like you invented a new retro game genre, it was very enjoyable, felt like John Wick for a second there.
Amazing work, really. The only suggestion I have is that it would be more cool to be able to stop and shoot if I shot while moving.

Developer(+1)

Good idea. I've been experimenting with shooting while running but the animation gets weird. I have to go back and rethink how it's implemented. Thanks Fiki!

I really like the style of the game! reminds me a lot of retro games!

Nice arcade feel and graphics! The shooting was very smooth and could be fun to see how it works with some more active enemies

Really well done, it feels like a pretty smart spin on that old run&gun formula. Kinda wish there would be more of it but what's there is absolutely competently made.

It was a bit confusing that both the torso and the head of the targets was shown when spining, I think having none would be clearer on the best time to shoot.

Developer

Hi evigouroux! I was thinking the same thing about removing the targets while spinning. I'll have to do that for the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

First off, your title art is amazing! It immediately caught my attention, which is exactly what you want. The graphics inside the game are well done as well. They give that professional old-school Gameboy vibe, and the animations are smooth.

The gameplay itself was executed well and I didn’t find any bugs. I definitely know the limitations of a jam, but I would’ve really enjoyed playing through a level with some enemies. The controls are definitely there for it.

I didn’t really see the theme of the jam, since you keep picking up ammo throughout the level.

Also, small bug/feature request. It’s not really clear whether you get all the targets or not. I hit all the targets a few runs and it seems like it says time out either way.

In any case, great job, I hope to see you expand on this!

Developer

You did find a bug! I'm still trying to figure out why but if you run out of time then it won't let you clear a stage after that. Gonna try to fix it soon for the next update. Also you have a point about the theme—for a while I had it so you ran out of ammo at the end but it got too frustrating. I'll work on this some more and yes this will definitely be expanded after the jam. Please follow

on the cover he looks like Guts

Developer(+1)

I had to look up what Guts was and yeah totally I see it

The sprites are well made and the UI is solid too. The aiming/shooting feels quite pleasing.

Soybaby is an awesome username.

This looks and plays like the introductory/tutorial level to a longer action game. The graphics are really good, and I can definitely see this being developed into a longer, full-fledged game. I Like it.

Great graphics and style, the shooting is super satisfying and I think the gameplay and aiming would suit a swat raid type of game :)

Pretty good idea for a full game ~
