Very atmospheric.
The map felt a bit too long & empty in some parts.
What worked:
The atmosphere was good. The music added to this atmosphere. Leading the monster around and manipulating where it went felt good.
What didn't:
The lack of checkpoints hurts the game since it takes a while to get through it again, especially when you die after collecting the 5 candlesticks. The game feels too long, physically. There are large portions where nothing is really happening and you're just walking down a corridor. It might be better to have shorter halls but more intense gameplay.
Bugs:
Didn't see any.
Great job!
Art and sound work well together to create a nice spooky ambiance, only complaint is that it is a bit confusing to know what to do, once you find out what the "picked up candle" is, and where it goes, no issues from there...overall, a nice short horror game
Atmosphere is pretty good, this one is the scariest game of the whole jam!
Good game, wasn't a fan of the jumpscare and I wasn't sure how to progress once the witch appeared but the art and atmosphere were very well made. One of the more polished jam games
Nice, creepy atmosphere. Almost got to the end. Some interactions felt confusing, like when I got teleported by what looked like a vending machine, but I think it works out since you'd want to interact with everything you see anyway.
Thanks for the feedback! yeah it was a wardrobe haha
You definitely succeeded in creating a very very creepy atmosphere...could not finish as well ahah But that means you did well. Well done!
Thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Okay, this is scary, real scary.. to play. The art looks good as well as the sound. Didn't manage to complete since horror game are not my cup of tea ๐
Thank you, you are too kind! Im glad it creeped you out... in the kindest way possible haha!
Haha, no, not at all. A lot of games have horror themes in this jam anyhow so that's unavoidable. Ultimately, games need to be fun. The rest is secondary :D
The atmosphere of the game is really successful! The monster is scary haha! The only thing is that the roads are a bit long
Thank you for your input im glad you enjoyed and i will take your feedback into consideration :)
Very successful disturbing atmosphere. The long hallways are a bit empty but that contributes well to the concept. Well done.
Thank you I'm glad you got the vibe!
Spooky!
Got a bit confused with the controls, I use an AZERTY keyboard, so I had to retry a few times because I got killed.
Congrats on delivering this by yourself!
Ah I see I didnt plan for an azerty keyboard! Thanks so much!
Nice atmosphere and art! The looming presence of the boss-like character really kept me on edge throughout my playthrough! If I were to wish for something, it would be nice to have some checkpoints at pivotal points in the game to avoid redoing long sections over and over again. Otherwise, great job!
thank you for the feedback!, i'm glad you enjoyed it, I do plan on adding checkpoints to the game soon in a more polished version!
Nice game! The music and creepy ambience are well done. The Boss is quite scary looking too. I'd like to see you do a Halloween Game Jam.
