Thanks! Entering the leaderboard has become an impossible task much quickly than I thought. I’m lucky to still be in there, to be honest :)
Adding a global leaderboard is a genius move, that's a great way of encouraging replays and bringing together the community of folks who made submissions (it was fun watching people improve their scores on the Discord). Some nice little details too, changing the FOV helps bring a feeling of speed. A few more tweaks like adding suspension to the car would really help sell the weight of the car even more. I had fun with this one :)
Good point about the suspension. I spent most of the jam time trying to tweak the physics in order for the car to feel real fast but I still have a lot of things to improve. Thanks!

Sometimes when I'd try to break and turn at the same time, the car would turn the other way. It was so much fun despite that though. I suck at racing games though lol. Tried so hard but I just couldn't get under 1:30. Also you nailed the 90s feel with this, great job!

Im very bad at racing games so by default im bad at this game. Spent a good 20 minutes trying to stay on the road for more than 5 seconds, but i suck. Leaderboard addition is awesome tho.
I would love to see additional maps in this art style and maybe even some 2d spectators!

There are 2D spectators! I assume you played it on your cellphone? Because I noticed the framerate dropping on mine and to try and mitigate it I removed them if I detect a touchscreen. It’s a hack but given the jam’s deadline is the best I could come up with. If you play it on your computer you should see them cheering in the stands :)

After playing more I find the game growing on me and it's very addicting. I have a 1:12:55 WR at the time of writing this.
Amazing! I didn’t even know it was possible to get such times! My best time (after playing the same track several days) was 1:13:96 and I deleted it from the leaderboard because I thought it was too fast and it was going to discourage competition :)
I LOVE THIS, IT FEELS SUPER GOOD! The speed is excellent feeling, the way the camera moves, chefs kiss. Honestly amazing stuff and I wish there was more! Only thing I would do is change the car out for a hover car so the slide of the car makes more sense :D

Oh my god, you’re right about the hover car! How did I not think of that? I was so fixated on F1 that it didn’t even occur to me that the physics were much more compatible with a hover car. Well, live and learn…

I enjoyed it overall. I really don't like that I keep bumping into walls no matter how hard I try. The car needs more traction imo. Really like the leaderboard addition and the music.
Thanks! Yeah, the controls are a little hard to master. My initial plan was to allow the player to improve the car by spending money that you would earn by winning races. That way you could customize your car with better grip, max speed, acceleration, etc. However, I didn’t have enough time to do all that and I ended up cutting most of the planned features.

I played it for a while and got a 1 min 21 sec time, the control are a bit tricky but I learned them after a while
