I know you saw the Stream but I thought I'd summarize my thoughts on here. Really love the concept, feels almost more like a puzzle game that induces panic than an RTS or tower defense. Some of the art is clearly there as a placeholder but I really enjoy the core elements of your presentation, including the foodsteps all the dude's make and animations. The menus are a little hard to use but icons will eventually help with that and the issues may be unique to running this game above 1080p. A pause button might also be nice although it would detract from the panic of trying to manage things in real time. Really enjoyed the core gameplay, looking forward to seeing more progress on it!
My wife is Chinese and I'm British so this is no problem. I wrote a lot but lost it when click a link by accident. This is the 2nd try.
Lot of detail in the shooters but it could be a problem when there's a lot on screen, it lacks clarity. I don't know if you have seen Domina but maybe check them out for how they do a nice detailed pixel style across all areas. Just thinking for the GUI and background stuff.
The controls bit in the menu screen is really text heavy but the tutorial works for the basics.
The white area saying keep clear should be a nice big decorative flag or something.
The audio needs better balancing. The walking sound is really hard in the bass and could be lowered.
I know it is a tower defense game but the boxers line could be a bit wider to feel like they are flooding the streets. Maybe if they get weapons in the future they could pick up off weapons from the fallen. Like something out of the movie "Enemy at the Gates" opening scene.
Lots of people disliked the controls bit, I hoped it'd be a "quick guide" of sort for people that wanted to skip the tutorial but I see it needs a rework, and the UI definitely needs improvement, I agree.
And thanks for the tip about sound, I meant for the boxers to cause a stampede-like rumbling but I agree that I overdid the bass-boosting, it is a little grating
Its Fun. There aren't any Bugs I could find, but I found it weird that units needed to be close together to swap properly. Not adjacent mind you, I'd have understood that, but just kinda close?
The Unit Sprites are Great, but they don't fit the map aesthetic. Apart from this, I think this only kinda needs a coherent story to drag you through levels, instead of just a level picking screen, aswell as more units, especially enemies, and more maps obviously.
Main Menu Font is a bit hard to read, and endless mode doesn't really get more difficult the longer it goes on once the first Jumbo is down.
Thanks for playing my game and for the good feedback.
I will try to implement some sort of story or level progression, and I do need to figure out a way to make endless mode harder without just increasing numbers, since the game can only handle so many hundreds of boxers. I'm currently working on more levels, so hopefully that'll solve the content issue.
But I'm glad you found it fun, this was just meant as a tutorial game to teach myself coding, it's encouraging to see some people having fun with it.
Enjoyed playing the first few levels a lot. The map layouts, especially, the crossroads, really keep things interesting. Anon's death screams are perfect, mowing down the boxers is a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Graphics and sound effects on the soldiers are great. Looking forward to the addition of music, which doesn't seem implemented yet.
Movement of squads (especially the MGs) is pretty slow without upgrades, and if I have to get them all the way across the map a few spaces at a time, it can be annoying to micromanage.
Thanks for the feedback Yes I do plan to add music and maybe one or two more game modes before calling it a day I know moving squads is a little slow, maybe lowering the cost of speedup upgrades should be a good middle ground, I shall experiment a little
Thanks for playing and giving feedback I know that squad movement and the controls are a little clunky, hopefully giving the player easier access to speed upgrades will somewhat solve both issues at once And regarding stragglers, I think I'll give "extra lifes" to easy mode as a compromise, the game feels already too easy for me but obviously I have a bias

Thanks for watching me stream your game! You can find the recording here:
I feel like this game is a work of art that isn't finished being sculpted. It's getting there, but it's not there yet.
Satisfying to watch the action. Entertaining and the sound effects are great.

Fun twist on the tower defense genre.
- Movement of squads feels pretty slow, especially at the beginning of the game.
- It seems I can only move squads a couple of lines at a time? Would be cool to move them across the map instead of needing a bunch of clicks.
- Having 1 life and losing from just a single straggler making it through at the end is a bit frustrating
Thanks for playing and giving feedback
