better than tetris. got 20k score. it`s just very solid already and the polish is great. only nitpick is that there is a strange delay when a column gets filled. i understand that you can`t just suddenly reset the game when the player loses, but this delay is strange and uneventful. really curious about where you want to take this because it already looks finished to me.

Developer

Thanks for playing. That delay is indeed strange and we're planning on fixing that, it's just low priority right now as we're trying to get features in.

Very glad you liked the game! There's still a lot more we're planning to add, one thing being a weekly and daily leaderboard.

Cute little game. It feels quite demanding on brainpower having to calculate all these sums.

I did not really understand what the colourful piece does. I did not understand how to recover after all my columns were locked up, except wait for a lucky "task orb" to fall or a random colourful orb. Maybe it could be made to that stacking multiples or such also helps? E.g. there is a 5 task, I stack 5x4=20 on top, the bottom most diece gets deleted, or such. Obv. doesn’t work well with the 1 task, haha.

Another thing I felt was missing is benefit from stacking the same number of eyes in a row. You get a benefit by matching colours, but not by matching numbers. This is unusual. Maybe this could be another way out of locked columns, making it so you can delete rows (like in normal Tetris) by having all the same number on it or such.

But I must say that OTOH it was already a bit confusing sometimes why dice were deleted. So new rules if any should be kept simple.

Cheers

Developer

Thanks for trying the game out! The colour matching mechanic is explained in the description, that allows you to recover from overfilled columns.

Yes – if you look at my video, I use that mechanic quite often.

But if *all* columns are overfilled, the colour matching mechanic can only do anything with the additional task orbs. I mean, sure, one simply shouldn’t overfill every single column. But that’s very dissimilar to Tetris. At that point I would rather just make it automatically Game Over to have all columns in the red, rather than making player go through 30 more blocks with the hope of getting abnormally lucky.

Ah I see. Yes since the demo was posted we've actually made it just be a game over as soon as all columns are ovefilled.

Hello! I liked this game, it's very polished and action puzzle games are often my thing.

I liked the idea of the game, I managed to get to level 12, I can't remember my score. That said I do have some thoughts on the game's  design  - it does feel like once you bust a column and go over the number at the bottom there's little to do to recover from that, except just wait for the bonus piece to arrive which in my opinion makes the game feel random unfortunately, being at mercy of that special piece to keep going isn't ideal, as it would be best to keep the flow of skills intact. In my opinion if a column is busted, then it should immediately turn into another number above it (pic related, 2 columns are already busted, I can't do anything to fix those - my best bet is to wait for the special piece to keep going). Then again, you also have your reasons for making the game the way it is.

That said, overall good job! (not sure if it is showing the pic I attached)

Developer

Can't see the picture sadly, but I get what you mean.

The trick to clearing overfilled columns is to use the colour matching on neighbouring columns to clear blocks from those overfilled columns.

at first i was like "hey this is easy"

needless to say, i was wrong.

interesting hook, making "combos" via the color is an interesting mechanic

when i tried to die on purpose it took a while for the game to realize that the line was full, like a few extra seconds than it should have imho

I really like the music, gameplay requires a lot of quick thinking to match the numbers up. There isn't much to make a row clear once it's full and overloaded, maybe one or two dice to fit that would be very good. It's very enjoyable and polished.

This is a solid fun puzzle game.  I think you could have the random number pop up a bit more, and maybe remove some rows to make it more difficult.

Could use a volume slider, the background music was a little loud.

Sound effects are nice, art is pleasing.  I could see this being a successful app store hit.

Fun gameplay, and the minimalist art style is really great. Awesome job.

A fun puzzle game which is really nicely presented.  The art style suits the game and is consistence throughout (maybe except the pause button).

The concept was self explanatory I found and I picked it up on my first playthrough.  I managed to get over 120,000 points but the high-score disappeared straight after so I have no proof. I see this will be an upcoming feature though from the description.

Difficult to suggest improvements as this is a very polished, sleek and feels like an almost finished game.  But I can see how you can expand on the puzzle formula if you decide too (eg a challenge mode, clear the numbers etc).

Awesome concept.

Took me a while to get it but still.

Developer

Yeah I just added an explanation in the description. Forgot to add that. We're planning on adding a tutorial in the future.

That was fun I got a score of something like 6500, but one small thought
1. The score seems to vanish when I die, so I can't see it.

Developer(+1)

I mentioned that scores don't get saved yet in the description, but that's coming in a future update.

Pretty cool concept man. Is this based on the dice tetris board game?

Developer

It is not.

Nice twist on Tetris. The game looks good and feels really polished. Can get a little stressful when the difficulty picks up.

Developer

Thanks. I've heard some feedback from others that it gets pretty stressful after a while, which is sort of the intention, but also we need to balance the game a bit more
