the only problem i had was that at one point the second "room" bugged out and only two armed goons came out of it instead of three, so i had to restart
yeah the gun feels kind of wimpy. maybe it needs a bigger hitbox to actually hit some enemies
Looks like a shitpost, sounds like a shitpost, plays like a surprisingly good game. Hat mechanic is very simple, intuitive and great. Bat is very fun to use, even though I chose to just flail it around until everything was dead. Gun is very meh, bullets are slow and gun holding enemies tank them.
Music is shitposty, but also pretty groovy. Suits the game well enough.
And I really liked how the level slowly "fell apart", it was a very nice touch.
A surprisingly enjoyable experience. Too bad it's very short.
Cool little Hotline Miami clone. It'd be nice if the guns automatically disappeared when out of ammo. As it is now, you have to manually drop them and pick up a different one, while avoiding the one you dropped so you don't accidentally pick it up again.
Extra ammo is automatically transferred to your held gun when you touch a dropped one but it's hard to notice, visual and sound effects should hopefully help to make this clearer.
I downloaded and played the game on windows. The web version just didnt work on me (WebGL context lost, please reload the page)
I beat the second and the third levels and procceeded to die again and again on the 4th room of the first level
It seems Hotline Miami just became a genre! This game has potential:
Great:
-Combat (bat): It feels good to strike enemies in this game (I would have liked if an enemy could bounce off each other). Also rushing to pick up your glasses after taking dmg makes for frantic fight scenes.
-Level Design: I liked the destructable objects and their usage in the rooms (ATM's block paths that the enemies can take, switches turn off the lights). The train level (although technically compromised, I was stuck inside the train and couldnt get out) shows great potential for the levels to be sth different than just room-corridor-room.
Music: Remove the "turn off music" button and bring it on
Not so great:
-Combat (gun). The power of the bat is so compelling that the gun isn't much fun in this game and it slows the combat down.
-Difficulty: Too many enemies that carry guns
-Technical Problems: The AI of the enemies appears to be stuck at certain times, I cant pick up another gun after the one I'm holding runs out of bullets, the particles of the smashed ATM's persist on the floor after many retries...

Keep up the good work!
tldr: nice, recording 5 mins of ur game somehow takes 5 gb so i cant post that,
Music is schizo tier
Would be nice if the ranged enemies had telegraphs
Bat sometimes doesnt do dmg when swining
for the train level, ahve the train stay still while terrain moves to avoid issues, the bat was floating out of my hand.
sfx etc you know what needs polishing
its very juicy i like
It's a fun concept.
Is the hat supposed to work like Aku Aku in Crash where it sort of protects you?
