Track description | Creative process
Hello! This was a lot of fun to make as I love the animal crossing series. I was inspired to combine elements of Animal Crossing New Horizons in the realistic instruments and percussion, with some of the older instruments from previous titles, most notably the guitar in the second half reminiscent of the opening theme from Animal Crossing Wild World. Enjoy!

I could tell by the first chord that you've played AC, it reminded me of the Island Orientation music. I'm also a big Wild World fan, and I feel that game has infected your brain like it has mine. It's too hard to not take inspiration from things like WW and CF because they really paved the way for NH and any future Animal Crossing games. This was a great entry to listen to, I felt like you really understood some of the chord qualities and their harmonic functions in the way the AC series utilizes them. I can also tell you internalized those things (from playing the game) by the way you've arranged those progressions. Very organic. Truly, a great job!

Thank you, that's the vibe I was going for with the first chord, and yeah I definitely wanted to take inspiration from those titles as well. Thank you for all the kind words I'm glad you enjoyed the song!

OH THIS IS AC! Down to the chords and melodies. This one is probably the closest. LOVE IT!

THANK YOU HighPulpOrangeJuicePls I really appreciate it!😎😎

Cute and charming track that fits the theme really well! Others said it before, but I do agree the ending is a little abrupt, so the looping feels a little jarring, though maybe it's cos of the silence at the end? Otherwise I really like this track, it's a good background track for the island. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! And yeah definitely a consideration to make for future tracks, intention of looping or otherwise. Thanks for checking it out!

Loving the feel of this. Nice motifs and arrangements going with them. Great reprisal at 0:33 with nice selection of percussion elements, sea sounds and instrumentation. But man, what happened at the ending? I wanted more! :P Nice work with this, perfectly credible and with lots of charm.

Thank you I appreciate that, and yeah it was supposed to loop at the ending OST style but that's hard to convey through soundcloud lolol

Nice call and response melody between the guitar and mallets and I like the switch to sitar for the second half. Really liked the final phrase.

Thank you!

Nice and wholesome track, I really hoped there was more of it!

thank you!

Aaaah why does it so abruptly ! Your tack is awesome, I really feel the AC vibes and the nintendo inspiration here - on the composition as much as in the instrumentation. But I wanted it to keep going for longer, or to resolves in someway that doesn't make me want to listen more and more of it :-D Which is done well, since it's supposed to be a game soundtrack, so that's actually fine haha. Nice job !

Developer

Thank you! Yeah it was meant to be looped which isn't ideal for a casual listening experience lol but meant for the game, but I'm glad you liked it enough to want more!

I really like the chord at 0:47, maybe at 1:08 you could have made a variation either melodically or use a different chord to renew the listener attention.

Developer

Thank you! And I agree that could be a good idea🤙

I missed the chance to vote on your OST 7 entry, but wanted to say they sound so lovely! Super intimate and film-score like, just really cool textures. All of them are so distinct too, 'Revival of Youth' (idk how you got that texture, but it's so great) and 'I See it Now' are super pretty

I can hear the same emotionality here even in a playful score. The motif is really melodic and comforting (the 2nd part of it, like the bit at 0:45 is so beautiful), and background elements feel really well balanced. Could definitely see this in a larger score, certainly on a stroll hehe, nice work!

Oh wow thank you I really appreciate that, thank you for checking OST 7 out as well! And I appreciate the kind words about this song as well, thank you!

Really like the percussion stuff, especially the shaker helps set the groove for me. The ending felt a bit abrupt to me and really left me wanting more. Good stuff!

I appreciate that, I'll have to make an extended version lol, but thank you for listening!
