Track description | Creative process
The files exists of 3 different small songs, each around a minute long. They correspond to three different times during a day;
0:00; night.
1:00; midday.
1:56; evening.
I had a hard time choosing one over the other...
I really love the calm atmosphere of the night version, but its lack of instrumentation (which is not neccesarily a bad thing) didn't allow me to show my mixing or instrumentation skills. I am a big fan of the chord progression though.
The day version is way more lively. The guitar accompanied by the guitar percussion has a nice basis. This track is also the first time I used a steel drum, really nice! Finally you might have spotted the ACNH leitmotif played by the trombones towards the end.
The evening version is very playfull with pizziato viola and cello creating this playfullness. Again the steel drum accompanies the track, sometimes even supporting the chords. The second loop features a clarinet, showing that a single instrument can give the loop a new feeling.
In the end, I believe the day and evening version wouldn't be looping over and over for an hour. There are plenty of chord shift and other things the tracks can achieve. But only so much can be done within 3 minutes unfortunately...
I hope you enjoy the peacefullness on my island!

I like the fact that you have the night, evening and day in the track ! This is definitely one of the more creative entries and fits the theme very well.
Really nice song, though IMO the horn in the second part and the clarinet in the third could've been a little bit louder.
This is fantastic, I am in love with the space between phrases. The peaceful feel is so Animal Crossing, congrats
So pleasant and full of emotion. Had a great time listening to your tracks. So much achieved with so little, because the sound is so good and the playing is fantastic. Credibility over the clouds too. Bravo!
I liked the guitar and the calm mood of the first part, and how you made all the different parts stay together in one piece, even if i'm not a big fan of the bell you used, this track works. Good job!
This is so good!! Each time feels distinct. Great writing, especially the pizz/xylophone action. It's a great amount of variation on a sparse score. The guitar opening's beautiful, and the use of the theme in day theme is very nostolgic. Definitely can see this in the game already ^^
The mix sounds BANGIN. Everything is very understandable. Really set the vibe! The second part is my favorite.
Well balanced. Somehow I find the night part a bit too "emotional". I really like the chord types you used in the midday part, you avoided being too conventional (you know that elevator / corporate music vibe), but without leanning too much toward jazz or some modern sound.
You really got the vibe right for the game and the instrumentation works well for the style.
The night time tune, gave me a bit of a Beatles/Eric Clapton feel.
Well done!
The first track is not very intriguing, but sounds great and fits great overall! At first I didn't notice i was listening to a medley (i was playlisting), the second and the third are much better
I really like this piece and think it fits the theme very well. You have done an outstanding job, congratulations!
You know i love what you did here! it's super good and the fact that you packed 3 songs in one, I love it great job!
Very creative approach! Nice mix and composition overall.
Great work!
This is so lovely, the night one is my favourite, gives me the feeling of walking on the beach reminicsing upon the day. Great work!
