- Really like the art style and the story helps show it off even more. The gameplay felt nice with different abilities for each character, sometimes it felt stale though with just spamming the one key until you can use your powerup again. The enemies being quite tanky without any indicator of how much damage you are doing/how much health they have left at times made your attacks feel less impactful.
Tell us about your game!
It's been long, tiring days, and I can't remember the last time I had a good rest. It's my first time exporting to HTML, and I anticipate encountering some issues. Nevertheless, despite everything, I'm happy with the completion of the project. It didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, but it came close.

Well crafted game art and simplistic visuals when properly made can be a beautiful choice for a video game espiecially when combined with 3D views and environements
it's seems challenging to me to create a video game , and i have a plan to do so too in the future when it's possible to me and a long as i can .
Pixel Art Games with 3D can be Fun Games can be cool and can be adventurous and nice memories !!

Questions:
Did you implement any optimization techniques, or did you choose to use only in-engine optimizations?
What engine and tools did you use to create your game, including the graphics?
How challenging was it to develop your game? Did you face any significant obstacles?
What inspired your game idea and gameplay? Could you share the story behind the game's name?
How did you get into video game development?

Note: It would mean a great deal to me if you could rate my game. If you haven't already, feedbacks from friends and fellow gamers is valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time.
Thanks!
Ilias.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
- In this specific game, I forgot to make some optimizations that would be necessary, such as not creating particles if they are not going to appear on the screen because they are far from the player, but generally I try to optimize the mechanics more in general.
- The game was developed in Game Maker Studio 2, the artwork was done using Aseprite.
- My biggest obstacle during the game's creation was getting the character order placed correctly to not face who was defeated, combining that with a way for the player to explore all the characters at least once and see which one is best for their type of gameplay. The name of the game is directly related to the story, as it marks the end of the mercenary life of each of the protagonists, making this their last mission.
- I have always been interested in game development since I was a child, I took some courses that did not make much progress over the years until I finally found one that gave me encouragement and brought back my spirit as a game developer. Getting to know the right teacher, I had the pleasure of feeling for the first time what it was like to create a game from scratch, and since then, my passion for game development has only grown.
Hey,
Thank you for taking the time to answer the questions; it's much appreciated.
Can you tell me if GameMaker Studio 2 is hard to learn/master? Does it have a visual scripting system for non-coders?

Nice game and great art well done
Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Nice game, with great artwork, the blood effect looked very good, the amount of enemies felt overwhelming to start with, and I think an ammo and reload feature would help stop just constant spamming, but then again I died quite quickly so maybe unnecessary :)
Thank you very much for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I will take your points into consideration, for sure the spawn is something that I really need to improve on in my future games haha.
The blood animation on enemy killed is very smooth. It adds a lot of character to the game.
The shooting and the controls felt good. The art during cutscenes is good too.
If anything, common enemies felt a little too tanky. Oh, and the game starts to lag a little after a while. Might just be my old computer though.
I think it's a solid shooter very well executed! Nice job!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! I believe that in relation to the slowness, it was some optimization problems that I overlooked, I have an idea of what it might have been, the next time I'll pay more attention to that so as not to impair the experience. It was my first time trying to make a game in this style, and your kind words really motivate me a lot, thank you very much.
Very, very nice gameplay! Bit of story, nice artwork and music. Just an overall good experience! Very nice job.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you very much for the feedback and kind words, it really motivates me a lot, especially since it's the first time I've tried to make a game in this style.
This game is a really good example of implementing 2-3 mechanics in a very well way. Love the character artwork too! Also, honestly I could learn how to make shooting feel good from this. 😂 Makes my shooting mechanic in my game feel so dull lol.
I do wish the levels were kinda bigger or somehow connected? Or did I miss that part out somehow
I'm very happy that you enjoyed the game! It was the first time that I tried to create a mechanic where we can play with more than one character, and it was quite difficult to do haha, but in the end it worked out (after a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of work and several devastating bugs). I already tested your game and believe me, your shooting mechanics are also really good, the effects, particles, and impacts made me love your game even more. As for the larger levels, the idea was for them to be a little bigger at the beginning, but unfortunately, I couldn't make it happen. And yes, they are connected, but I couldn't convey that very well in the gameplay, unfortunately. Maybe if I improve this game in the future, it will be easier to see the connection between the scenarios, maybe even managing to invade each other's area haha.
Honestly, for a first time entry this is awesome. While not being able to bring your vision 100% to life can feel little demotivating, gamejams are literally meant to polish these 'skills' over time so don't worry too much about it. 99% of the games here had to cut down on features from their original 'idea' so we're all in the same boat. That'll be super cool to see!
That was really cool! The enemies behavior is pretty impressive, well done with that! It becomes a bit laggy at some point, I’d guess with all the bullets on screen, some are bouncing to infinity which might not be supposed to happen I guess. It’s a bit counterintuitive to have fixed number of hearts and to have to hit plenty of bullets to mae the health go down, maybe a health bar in this case would be a better indicator. Other than that, really nice job, and great take on the rivalry theme!
Does the crap we pick up give you some kind of boost?😶
I love playing a character who shoots three bullets at once. Do your enemies have too much health?
Hello! Does the chicken you pick up give you more health, and does the drink provide you with more energy (movement and shooting speed)
The enemies' health is always the same, what varies is the damage each character deals. The one with three bullets has the highest damage, the middle character has medium damage, and the last one has the lowest damage but higher speed
Chicken dinner is always delicious :)
Nice, cute graphic. Is the companion available for the second character only?
Filling the belly with a delicious chicken after an insane mission, there's nothing better, hahaha.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, even though, unfortunately, the graphics turned out with lower quality than expected.
In fact, besides this companion, the other characters are as well, as in the game's narrative, they have to eliminate all enemies in the same location, making them companions (despite being rivals in encounters)
