I'll play it in the AM because I am slepi but yes
Yes
Really like all the cool power ups you can buy and use. The chain is such a cool item.
Amazing Job on the game. I had loads of fun playing it with my colleagues. The theme contrasting jolly christmas and horrific murder was on point.
Nice job. I really enjoyed this game, loved the holiday theme, good timing on that! The different modes on the bells was really fun as well! Good work!
Super fun game with lots of replayability! It was exciting to mess around with different loadouts on the bells and it felt like there was so much variety in that. The art is really charming too. Overall, the difficulty was nice as well. It offered enough challenge to where I had some tight squeezes, but none of the hits/waves felt unfair. I felt like the boss was a little too easy but it was creative to introduce enemy projectiles that way.
Great work!
I won! Fire early on really paid off haha. Well done, pretty sweet mechanic to work with :D
Yeah the fire is pretty OP lol. Glad you enjoyed it!
This game is seriously impressive, tons of fun with a great amount of polish. I enjoyed the art, music, sound effects especially, and the general gameplay loop is addicting. One quality-of-life thing I would've liked is the ability to lock a mode, sometimes I would realize I don't have enough for one, try to save for it, and then it wouldn't be in my shop :'( Still this game is great overall and I hope you guys get more eyes on this because I think it's underrated!
Yeah the mode thing is something I thought of, but I ran out of time before I could do anything about it. I'm glad you liked it though!
This was a ton of fun! Super simple but super straight to the point. It was difficult at first getting used to the controls but once I did, it was smooth sailing. All those years of playing CoD zombies trained me for this lol
I'm glad you liked it!
This is a fun one, it's very rare to see 2d physics used in a game and this is an excellent application of it. The powerups are all very satisfying and there's a lot of strategy in choosing how far out from the center you want to apply different powerups on your bell chain. I liked the challenge level, it felt high-risk but never felt unfair. I beat the final boss with just one heart remaining and that was intense. I like the particle effects and the Gingerbread man sprite arts especially.
It was very cool how you have to have a unique movement style in order to swing your bells, it was easy for me to pull off on the keyboard and it felt like doing complex finger-rolls on the buttons of an arcade fighting game cabinet (and those fighting game combos are not easy for me to pull off, so capturing the feeling of that while being more user-friendly is awesome).
Fun and unique and well-executed Christmas themed game, and I always love funny credits where the roles keep coming up as the same name, great work!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it.
Love this concept. There's so much potential to expand on it, but even in its current state, there's already depth in how to control the chain. I was able to mix up my attacks with quick furious clicks or well-timed swings to get the most out of its arc. Slowly learning how to strafe around enemies while keeping the chain going in an unbroken circle of combos was a rewarding experience. If you're still interested in this idea after the jam, keep at it. There's something neat here.
Crashed :(
aw man! Sorry to hear that. Was it immediate or later in the game?
Immediate.
It also happened with another Godot game I was gonna rate.
Probably my favorite game thus far, I actually finished it, and the modes were really cool, albeit some of them could serve the same design purposes :) But it's fun to be simon belmont with your whip in Super Castlevania 4 and twirl enemies to death. Good enemy variety, and fun boss fight. Great game!
Super cool and fun game, this DEFINITELY needs more players, great job! Original idea and solid execution, thanks for sharing :)))
I loved all the different modes you had in this game it allowed for very unique builds. It feels great when you master the movement and get the bells to keep spinning around you. Also I love the holiday theming of this game perfect mood. Good game you got here.
This is a really good game. I played using keyboard, and my hand is killing me, but it was a fun time. This can easily be expanded upon and made into quite a fun game and sold on steam. Keep at it!
Had an absolute beating up gingerbread men and snowmen! This game is seriously super fun. I loved unlocking new modes and upgrading my jinglebells. I eventually realized I could walk in tight circles and get a consistent swing going - then I absolutely crushed it. Great work!
Man, this game was so much fun. The connectivity between movement and attacking, combined with the weapon customisation aspects, made the combat system feel really interesting and dynamic. The vibes were also very much on point!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll play your game and leave a review soon👍
This was probably one of the best submissions I've played. I love physics based weapons in games so this was a lot of fun. I think that introducing some projectile enemies in the waves could have made the game a lot more fun though. Also I wish the weapon was slightly less unwieldy in the later waves, if you could turn it into a weapon where you click and hold down while spinning that in my opinion would make the weapon feel more weighty while not making it to easy to use. The boss was cool but I wish that it was more difficult with me not getting hit a single time. Increasing the projectile speed or making it spawn a small amount of enemies would have probably helped. Overall this was a great game. If you have the chance to check out my submission I would appreciate it.
thanks for all the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll check out your game when I get the chance :)
This was very polished. great job!
thanks! I'll check out your game when I get the chance :)
