Interesting idea and gameplay I've not seen in this jam yet! Love the art too! I think the spray bottle attack seems kind of out of place though.

The idea of this is pretty simple, but it's actually quite fun. I like how the sprites look! Got Dunkey as my guest but immediately killed him off woops

A cute little game, I love the visuals, just wish the sprays pierced or did more damage, to make it so that if a player was really good, they could never lose a guest. Very well done, though!

Art was cool, I liked seeing each little different character. Game kind of reminded me of some old school flash ones. I didn't really like the spray bottle as a mechanic, spamming click didn't feel that engaging nor effective since my tenants could handle the enemies. I think this game has a lot of potential and could benefit from focusing more on the various hotel inhabitants. Still, I enjoyed your game - good job!

Great visuals, great music, nice mood!

I guess the game loop could be enhanced a little but there is a great basis here!

(Sidenote: maybe have the enemies not "stacking" so it is easier to target them)

The game had a very addicting gameplay loop. It could have used a little bit more variety, but I had a good time running through the whole thing. Sounds were nice, visuals we also very nice. Reminded me of a lot of those old games on addicting games that were simple but you didn't want to put them down

I loved the overall presentation and the artwork/sprites for the guests. Its an interesting take on the tower defense genre with the guests being able to attack but will lose hp in the process so you can't rely on them for defeating the enemies (i guess it does cause a balance issue). My strategy was to click on the enemies on the ground floor before the elevator came down.. The project can be easily expanded upon by adding upgrades to the hotel itself and different types of enemies. Maybe adding more rooms as upgrades. More traps, interaction between guests..

Overall y'all did a great job!

There's a lot going on here! When I was playing through, I wasn't quite sure of the game loop and what my goal was. I saw the characters all had different modes, but I wasn't sure if that was just for flavor or if they actually had an impact on the gameplay. I thought I was playing a hotel sim, and then I was attacking little pink blobs with a spray bottle! I agree with a below commenter that if more focused, there are some interesting ideas that could be further developed. Really enjoyed the character portraits and sprites.

Thanks for playing! Yes, the idea was to make the guest modes matter, like "god mode" meaning the guest can't die. It ended up not making it in before the deadline though. I wanted Dunkey's "big mode" to make him get bigger every time he attacks.

Easy to understand loop but propably a little bit too easy. Nice sounds and lovely visuals :)

interesting concept! i think it's a little unfocused, but if tuned more, could be turned into something really special. right now the game feels like it's split between being a tower defense and a clicker game. the idea of a "tower defense but the towers are actually hotel guests" is actually a super cool idea, and you can definitely feel it in the game with the guests' stats and abilities - however, it feels like your own attacks sort of overtake it. if you put enough money into your spray attack, manually clicking at every enemy, there's basically no need to ever interact with the other side of the game. it's at odds with the tower defense part - past a certain point, your guests won't ever even see an enemy. if you focused more on encouraging the player to use the guests to defend against the enemies, the game would be even better! outside of the gameplay, the music is quite the bop, and i LOVE the character portraits! they have a lot of charm :) grats on making it in, and great game!

Thanks!! I love that you see the potential in it. I was really enjoying developing the concept and could see it carried further into a full game with really interesting mechanics :)

Cute game! I really liked the feeling I got when my hotel rooms started filling up. The character portraits are really well made too.

I think the spray bottles were a little difficult to manage, I had some trouble placing them. Slight nitpick but some of the sprites ie. elevator look a bit low res when compared to other assets

Great job!!

Very charming graphics and music. I’ll echo others on saying the gameplay is a bit repetitive. I think to spice it up there could be fewer enemies spawning, but have more than 1 kind of enemy and have them coming from either side.

Loved the presentation! The gameplay is simple and super fun. Thanks for sharing!

Simple gameplay loop, but charming graphics and fun music. Nice work!

Really great visual design. Gameplay is a bit repetitive as others have said but this is a fun game overall.

Bangin tunes.

I like the art a lot, gameplay a bit repetitive but simple. The best tactic for me just upgrade dmg until 12 and then go full luck. Cause if you kill first, then elevator goes top and new guys can't take it and you have a lot of time to kill them. I enjoyed it, good job!
