How does your game represent Mode?
A la mode means "with ice cream" so I chose that to represent mode for my game.

Fun arena shooter! I liked having the additional challenge of finding the targets hidden in the environment as you're darting around the level. I usually went with the Chocolate/Strawberry/Neapolitan loadout, but it was fun to throw in Mint or Cookies-n-Cream every few rounds. (Poor Vanilla always gets a bad rap!)

Fun take on the theme! I felt like it took too long to restart after dying since you have to go through all the ice cream selections again, so maybe letting players just retry with their previous selection could help smooth that over. Still, cool idea!

This game is very cool, i enjoyed the different ice cream combos the best, also i liked the maps. Good Job
Those balls of ice cream look freaking delicious, something about low-poly food makes me super hungry. Really enjoyed the variety of flavors also being your different ammo / weapons.

It was really fun to shoot ice cream and the design of the ammo boxes were on point, but it remainds me how bad I'm at aiming
I like that you had two parts to the mode theme, the a la mode aspect and then how each ice cream flavor has differences! I enjoyed the more risk/reward ones (cookies and cream for example) so much so that I wish ALL of the flavors had a perk and a risk. Nice entry!

Well polished, fluid mechanics and creative use of the theme. I like the idea of choosing the different flavors but didn't really see a reason why I should pick any other than the highest damage possible with no other modifiers (especially because others do lower damage + have negative drawbacks).
Fair point! I found interesting uses for some (birthday cake you can use as a bowling ball and hit multiple in a row or cookies and cream is an immediate kill but you don't control when you can shoot it) but in the end I do agree that some could have had been better options, since I always picked the same ones! I loved how the different flavor have different effects it allows for a lot of experimentation. Also cool use of the theme I learned something new I didn't know A la mode meant with ice cream . So nice work thinking outside the box with the theme mode.

It feels quite polished and I like the music a lot!
I think it's missing some feedback, when you hit by the enemies it can be difficult to comprehend what just happened, and where from. The jumping also feels a little strange, maybe the gravity in general.
Overall though, I think it's great!
yes I 100% agree! The feedback definitely needed some work, but I ran out of time (and ideas lol) by the end of the jam so I never got around to it. And yeah the gravity does need some work too, but thank you so much for the nice comment :D
