The game was thrilling trying to preserve my power and contemplating whether to use my weapons. I find it had a good balance. Solid game you guys. Thank you

Fun game, easy to pick up and play. Nice design decision making weapons cost battery power, it adds a lot of depth to the gameplay!

very good game.i played one of your games during the 1Bit game jam and it was very cool too.  gg! : )

Thank you for playing my game. Also I am happy you actually remember me from the 1bit jam you had a cool entry for that jam.

At first I was really confused at why one should switch the weapon off and then it all clicked. It adds a great depth to the game and make for a late game where you have to manage the resources carefully. The presentation is awesome with a very distinct look and a readable  game scene. Well done!

Developer

Yeah I wish I added something to explain why people should turn off weapons because it is kind of confusing to ask the player to stop shooting. But happy to hear you understood the mechanic even without a proper tutorial.

I find it really cool and haven't had a problem that it wasn't tutorialized actually! I'm all for discovering mechanics myself

Really fun game loop! Blasting through enemies was satisfying and I felt really invested in my character's development. The art is really cute, the characters and items really pop! The UI is well-placed and I felt like it was intuitive.

I think the number of enemies that spawns is a little too overwhelming after about a minute or so. They start to pile up which makes it so that you should go for damage upgrades instead of utility in the beginning. This in turn, limits the variety of gameplay decisions the player can make.

Overall, super fun game. : )

Thank you for trying out my game. Also thanks for the feedback on the enemy spawn rate to be quite honest I added it in last minute and didn't really playtest it. So I have to agree that the spawn rate isn't really balance but happy to hear you had fun with it despite its problems.

Hope you're going to finish it because it's fun! The recharge time is a good way to not let the game become too easy, good job!

I had fun with PowerStruggle. The toggleable weapons were a unique twist on the Vampire Survivors formula! In a future version of the game, I'd like to see some more enemy variety and a way to reduce the downtime spent recharging your weapons. For example, maybe the robot always regenerates 5 Power/s, and each weapon consumes a different amount of Power/s

Developer

Thanks for playing the game. Also thanks for the critique too I agree I should have added something else to reduce the time waiting for weapon recharge. Once you get later in the game it feels unfair to take cheap shots from enemies you can't fight back because of the weapon recharging takes way too long.

Nice twist on the jam standby of auto-attacking swarm game :D Cute art and there was plenty of time to enjoy the power-down mechanics before getting overwhelmed. Nice entry, well done!

Was really fun even unfinished! Good take on the theme and some nice cute pixel art too!

Developer

That is kinda crazy you survived that long. Thank you for spending that much time on my game.

Great work! Despite being unfinished, I feel that this is a rather finished and well done game for a game jam! Great foundations here, fun upgrades and good use of the theme! The gameplay has a lot going for it and is fun, I played for quite some time before I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of robots. Good stuff!

Congrats on finishing! I liked the cute robot graphics, and the mechanic of toggling multiple weapons is neat.

Even though its unfinished, this was really fun to play! Loved the different power ups and it made for some exciting times where they'd appear just in time when I needed it :)

I enjoyed this game! It reminds me of Vampire Survivors, but I like the added mechanic of turning your different weapons on and off. With more content and polish I could see this becoming quite the game.

though unfinished, its pretty fun. these types of games i enjoy because of my adhd. there's always something to kill on screen (and in this case, way too many things). good job!!!

Developer

The enemy count does get crazy in later wave but I am happy to hear you gave the game a try.

Great game! For an unfinished game this is really good and fun! The only real note I have would be to make running out of power a bigger deal. Right now, at least for me, it only pauses shooting for a second or so. Even still, it doesn't matter that much, and this still has a TON of potential! Fantastic job :D

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I agree that running out of power should've meant more gameplay  wise. I don't know what I would do but experiment more with the power down mechanic would be interesting.

Pretty fun take on survivor-likes, more enemy variety would take it to the next level for sure.

Developer

Happy you enjoyed it and I agree I wanted to add more enemies it would have made things more interesting
