Fun and frustrating... a curious mix that works. However, with a keyboard, it's hard to handle.
Simple but really effective idea! I really liked this one! My score was 5,259 and my level was 6
It's a nice concept, however, it need's a good bit of polishing.
First is that the game doesn't show the next block, which leads you to improvise your move.
Also, the lack of music or sound effects (at least for me) didn't help at all.
It's not necessarily a problem that the game doesn't have quick-drop, but it would have been nice.
Other then that, nice game.
Really creative idea, Reading about it I didnt' think it would work but it very much does. Thumbs up
normally i'd write some sort of joke funny comment but this is such a genuinely cool idea i'm mad that i never thought of it myself xd
tho i wish i could control the paddle with my mouse instead
Great concept, and wonderfully executed. Really similar to mine! I love the execution, very well done. My only gripe is the sound, I would have loved some effects and music. Let me know if you need music next time, it's my thing!
Good game! Great interpretation of the theme by combining 2 classic game modes. Some classic tunes would have been nice to go along with it, but regardless this was fun :).
This is a great game! We have never seen this concept before, which is wild considering that it's a combination of two classic games. Very addictive and enjoyable!
Fun idea for switching between two classic games. I think they compliment each other well, but I found the movement of the paddle in breakout to be difficult to control. Still, cool idea for the jam and perfectly fits the theme.
This is a very cool concept but I kinda wish you could see what block is next in tetris, and potentially even store blocks. Maybe the breakout paddle could also be bigger, or maybe im just not that good at breakout.
Super cool concept, don't think I could have ever thought about something like this myself. I had a great time playing it and wanted to keep going until I was pretty good at it. Seems like I'm just not very good at it lol. But I enjoyed it all nonetheless!
Hey, a fellow tetris-hybrid game! Awesome to see :)
Very fun idea, and I especially liked the transition from Tetris to Breakout mode. I agree with one of the other commenters that the 3D perspective, although visually very satisfying, made it a bit tough to determine which lane I was in.
But for the proof of concept this was very cool, I had fun!
I had fun with this, though it's not the best Tetris clone by any means and not the best Breakout clone by any means, the Tetris controls were fine but the drop shadows made it hard to see exactly what lane I was in, and I was having trouble doing spins, and the paddle in Breakout mode was a little bit too fast. Overall a neat concept even if the core gameplay is just Tetris and Breakout.
This really feels like it has the potential to become a cute and refreshing fun mashup experience. jsut a bit of polish and feel/tuning is need.
Great little prototype!
This was a really clever mashup! well done
Love the concept and idea, would be fun if there's more QoL and breakit power up to keep the loop keep going!
Very fun! Glad to see another dev use Tetris as a hybrid game mode! The mechanics and visuals were fun, and I found myself trying it multiple times to try to get a higher score. Both gameplay styles lend well to each other.
The only issue I ran into was that the slider for the Breakout mode felt slippery to control. I think it could have accelerated a little slower. Also, some audio would have been nice to have in the game.
I really enjoyed this one! Great work!
Very original idea, and a great take on the theme.
Other than the general tetris quality of life improvements that could be added, I feel that the breakout paddle felt a bit floaty. My personal preference would be to have that tightened up a bit.
While I like the choice to go with a 2.5D approach, I felt that the combined with the camera angle, I sometimes couldn't immediately tell where a block would exactly land if placed straight down.
Really fun idea. Well done!! :D
Nice reminder of how bad I was at all the games I came up with! Really good fun, well done!
This is a great idea! The tetris mode could do with an 'up-next' display.
