Extremely unique idea. I needed a while to get into it. Figuring it out was the fun part. Interesting puzzles too.
Good work on this! It's a really interesting concept with clever puzzles and plenty of fun. Nice job!
Super cool concept, The terminal was so well done, I almost tried to use gdb commands, but that might also be the 5 hours of sleep and Computer Systems Programming final. Either way, super niche game, but a lot of fun! Great Job!!!
Thanks! It was fun building the terminal. If I had more time I would have added some more features 😄
Cool idea! I really liked the idea of using the console to solve puzzles, and I was impressed with how many different commands there were. Great stuff!
I think there was a glitch where, if the game restarted, you would still be remotely controlling the robot from the previous session. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I couldn't go back to the main process from there.
Other than that, though, it was a neat concept that I enjoyed! Good job!
This is a super unique idea and a really cool implementation of the system. Though, an in-game tutorial or even a whole tutorial level is definitely needed, especially for those without experience using command lines.
Your bash implementation is actually quite robust! This has a highly specific audience, but job well done!
I like it, even if I was logged in as root and could not access the root directory. :)
I got really into the puzzle solving, quite immersive. Good job!
Well that's how schminux works 😅
Thanks!
This was a really clever integration of the linux terminal into gameplay. Felt like a very immersive mix of a text-based adventure game and a sci-fi resource management game. Great concept!
Intriguing idea! Also looks really nice. I think I was supposed to set the remote's navigation mode to dock, but that didn't do what I expected. Seemed like a glitch?
It could very well be a bug but this is how it was supposed to work:
**spoiler** :D
You need to have the target set to "dockingport" and then set navigation mode to mode_dock.
I really like the concept of this one. Taking the idea of linux commands and using them to solve a puzzle is a neat idea. I had difficulty trying to figure out the correct combo of commands however, since setting the target and navigation mode to target didn't seem to work for me. If that isn't a bug, then I think there should be a tiny bit more guidance on what else is required. Great work though!
