How does your game represent Mode?
The core mechanic of the game is that the light switches to two different modes (on and off).

Art drew me in, reminded me of a classic flash game :D I wish the "mode" aspect was integrated in a more interactable way, but I think the platforming aspect of this is done well! The lasers also led to some interesting unique mechanic, would love to see this fleshed out into a longer game!
The art is cool, I liked the level of detail in the game. The sound didn't work for me (on downloaded version), while the other games I've been playing did work. I don't know what could be the issue. The final puzzle was intense, it took me quite a bit, haha.
Very good job!
Loved Stache and the different cards shown after dying. Agreed with some of the other players that automatically respawning you after death would help streamline the experience. I liked the lasers and how they tied in with the lights and would've liked to have seen more ideas explored in that way.
Would be nice if there's some indicator before light is going off/on like a slight flicker with sfx, especially there're some mechanic directly tied to that timing (the laser)
I love the stache guy, he's cute. I also enjoy the death screen being different based on what killed him, but a quick respawn would be nice to have, it's a bit tedious to move from wasd+space to mouse back and forth every time I make a bad jump. Double jump is sometimes a bit unresponsive?
But overall, very charming. Good job.
That boulder fell right on my head. Did you do the music? It's very nice. Also nice touch on showing different images depending on how you die. The double jump float in between two lasers with the moving platforms was challenging. I had fun with it!
Thank you for playing!
And yes, music is self-made. I'm glad you liked it!
I enjoyed this one quite a bit, good stuff! looks and sounds great also
This is deceptively challenging! Like others, I did not realize there was double jump and died to lasers many times - I love the death screens, awesome work on that especially! This is nice, neat platformer with great art and sound.
Light Mode Action was a neat play on the theme! It's interesting that the mode is something that you have to play around instead of controlling it yourself. I thought the difficulty was fair and enjoyable! I'd love to see what other light-based mechanics you could come up with. Did you have any in mind that you would've included if you had more time?
Our first idea was that there were different lamps going on and off in a pattern, but that end up not being as fun as we that I would be.
We are glad that you enjoyed our game!
I thought this was just a brutally difficult platformer until I read the comments regarding double jump, haha. I wasn't able to get past the lasers without it :)
Nice job on the atmosphere of the game here!
Love the aesthetic! It took me a while to realize there's a double jump but I was able to make it to the end. Short and sweet, well done!
Lovely character, the on and off light goes really well with this kind of platformer.
I liked the details like objects moving when you go through them and the custom death screens.
I couldn't get past the laser part it was a bit too hard for me and wish I could've played more
Great entry, congratulations!
The DUN DUN DUNNNNN when you get in the house was really fun for "oh no lights are switching" :D
Platforming was pretty brutal tbh, didn't get past the second lasers
I really love the mechanics of this game!
Outstanding presentation. Game is really polished. From the sounds to the depth of field to the objects wiggling when you jump on the tables. I enjoyed it. good job!!! *edit* Oh and the lights, obviously haha
Thank you!
Love all the little details in your game. Presentation is great! Also the platforming sequence with lasers was fun and challenging.
my mind was blown 5 seconds in when the hanging lanterns had swaying physics. I did not manage my time nearly well enough to put in neat little details like that.
the whole background was blurred
The browser versions has a very blurry background, but if you download it there should be less blur
Alright feller
I really like the game over pictures, they are really funny andI'm so bad I really managed to take a look at all of them hahaha. Congrats to you two, it's fun!
Thank you for playing!
