Sadly the music didn't play after I died for the first time.

Nice. I like the arcade feeling and having the entire map on one screen. As someone else mentioned, it also reminds me a bit of those fake mafia games from ads.

Aw it was just getting started! Love the idea and the art style, particular the sprites for the characters are charming and goofy. Shame there's only one level, but that's time limits for ya. I like the plot twist at the end lol.

I really enjoyed this little arcade-style game! It felt like an interesting blend of Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. 2, and traditional Kirby gameplay. (It also vaguely reminded me of Donkey Kong Jr. Math but in a good way!) 

The sprites and level design were also superb! I also enjoyed the music and sound effects during the tutorial. (I don't know if it was a glitch or something, but they stopped playing during the actual gameplay.) Nevertheless, this doesn't detract from the awesome game you crafted! This is honestly one of my favorite games that I've played during the game jam! :)

I really like the way the game comes full circle, clever.

Having the power of the king be your last obtained power is a nice touch. I really like the animation of the donkey eating other donkeys kirby-style. Fun game!

This was a great little game! I really enjoyed some of the small details, like the kanye references and the fact that new games would have the king be you from a previous run.

A Simple, Fast, but Complete and Fun Game! 🎮✨

It takes the theme in the simplest way possible—but it works! ✅ No need to overcomplicate things. The game is well-polished, though it might be missing some music 🎵. The objectives are clear, and the progression and strategy-building are very satisfying. Plus, the story is funny, making everything feel more alive! 📖

The only downside I noticed is that the controls felt a bit rigid and unforgiving, and some moves seemed like bugs to me 🎮. Maybe adding a coyote time and a jump queue would make the gameplay smoother and more enjoyable. 

But aside from that, it's still a great entry! Well done! 👏

Nice concept! i had fun plying it. It was a bit buggy, and i was unable to finish because the game froze as i approached the top. i think you also could have made the charge jump the same button as jump, and the slide being "down" to further simplify the design. it total, it was a very nice and original concept with great music and art direction. good job!

Such a nice compact little arcade game! The sprites are so full of life, it made the game a real joy to play. I could see some cool additions to this game with various modifiers to scale up your strength or enemy strengths in interesting ways. Really enjoyed it!

Oh wow, a Haxeflixel game! Pretty cool idea that requires players to plan their movements carefully. Unfortunately, after I just started to get the hang of the game, it crashed with this message showing up in my console:

I was literally the ad guy in my first two attempts. Huh, 191 is bigger than 193, right?

I got really confused about reaching the king, before I randomly held up. Also, I saw the ending coming, but it was still funny.

What a cool lil game! I’m glad all those youtube ads are finally real!

Great arcade styled game, makes me think of some old Atari title. Gameplay is fun and simple to comprehend, it almost acts as a puzzle game.

A fantastic open donkey type game for Donkey King December 

Great quality overall, would love to see more levels. The different powerlevels make for solid replayability.
