I love game, super fun mechanic! Two things I'd say for the future - 1. In the first area with the areas that move you in one direction, you may want to not allow people to put a second portal where the arrows are, you they will 100% do it until they softlock themselves to see if they can; 2. and this is super nitpicky cause when a game is fun that's how I get, but beepbox music is great, but it always has a tendency to be a pretty short loop when all is said and done, I always find it helpful to spit out a few similar sounding tunes and intermix them to give it a bit more variety (also definitely subjective though!). Sorry for all the words, but i can't wait to see what you do in the future!
Good to know!
Incredible art and thinking, but in the level select, put the names of the levels.
Yoo, how’s it goin?
good hbu
cool 😎
The game is cool, I love the concept, but the sounds are very loud. The game itself is also too big for my screen and it doesn't fit in. Also physics are quite strange.
Great concept, you should definitely keep updating this one, Great job man :D
I saw tiny little bits of space at the edges of the screen so I stuck a portal up there and thought it was going to end up being like portal where the real game begins when you start to escape. Would have been neat if you kept doing the same puzzles over and over until you discovered that you could escape. I guess portal was kinda heavy handed with forcing you to escape. Anyway I got outside the level and fell forever, so I guess I got the secret ending.
Edit: I thought it would show the game I was a part of, but it didn't so please check out my game here: https://itch.io/jam/black-and-white-jam-8/rate/1483089
I should put a secret down there for the post-jam version, unintentional, but good on you for finding that!
Fixed!
my god the game is so nice
Tysm!
would be cool if the player can exploit moving portal
Great idea for the post-jam version!
Lovely concept made for enjoyable levels where you introduced new mechanics and kept the gameplay fresh with a small amount of levels. I really liked the level design and how it included these new mechanics.
Thanks so much!
Great music and a neat concept. Definitely has a lot of potential
I love the concept of this! Only real issues I have is both the sound effects as well as the font being hard to read.
Definitely has great potential to be improved upon with better puzzles, and well as tweaks to existing mechanics.
Good job!
Planning to release a post-jam patch with more levels and bugfixes, as well as accessibility settings.
The only troubles I had were with the levels of the sound effects! Otherwise, tutorials were clear and I think that if you were to make additional puzzles for the game, you would find several ways to improve the existing ones.
The music is a banger!
The gameplay is very interesting, but I would like more freedom in where to place the portals, or at least know why I can't put the portals in certain places (for example, changing the background)
Fantastic game! Really like the "field hopping" level. The player animation is a bit trippy the first time you see it. I would've like to see the "field hopping" idea used again in another level.
I might make another level when the jam is done, as a post jam version, thanks for the feedback!
good job grat game
Nice idea!! its seems have some buggy when you put portal in player, but its not interrupt the gameplay at all!
Yeah, due to time constraints and the portals implementation I couldn’t fix that but its not a soft lock and doesn’t interrupt the game play so I left it in for the jam version. Going to fix it on a full release.
Very original and addictive!
fun, very original!
Thanks for the feedback!
Good idea and good puzzle design!
Thank you!
