Fun game :D i know i did terrible but it was actually well done, with the night cycle forcing you to focus on different areas instead of just clicking on all the zombies. really well done there. overall i think you can make the ui prettier though than that color, and maybe some more post processing to make the world look cooler. overall, great!
Thank you for your feedback! :D
Some sound effects and music would have been appreciated, but other than that WOAH! This game is really awesome! I greatly enjoyed the look of it, with the mountains and everything, and the people walking along it gave a great sense of feeling. It was easy to tell who was a zombie and who wasn't, and then it just came to the task of killing them, which, ya know, wouldn't be my solution of choice to a virus but hey, space cannons are cool ahaha! Fantastic job!
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you liked it :)
It's good, and even more for a first game.
The visual is great (with some stars on the back it would had been event better)
Canon moves smoothly. The day/night cycle is welcomed.
There is some work to do on UI, but it's already ok.
Well done, keep it up !
Thanks for the feedback! :D
This was a very cool idea! I love how there is a really quick day/night cycle that forces you to constantly readjust your focus.
Thanks for the feedback!
This was super fun. I have never played a game like this before. Really neat gameplay experience. it was a little hard to control because it would overshoot but maybe that is on purpose since its a large cannon lol.
Thanks for the feedback! It wasn’t deliberate, I think that may be some smoothing built into the unity arrow key inputs so maybe I can look at how to reduce that a bit :)
Really original game, I love the concep. The game is simple in the good way and prety solid and pollished. The day-night cycle is a very interesting feature. Your game is really worthplaying, and I is one of my jam favourites. Just two suggestions: a mouse control can improve the handling a lot, and I think some graphical adjust in the render and postprocessing configuration could make it looks even better. Really nice job mate, I love it.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you liked it :)
It's nice to see a 3d game in the jam. This game is really morbidly comedic if you think about it - and I like that! The day/night cycle was a great idea, but I would have fancied if it was slightly slower, as it would have been great fighting through the night only to realize when its morning that half the world is infected! Other than that, some sound effects would have improved the game feel. Good work!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah that’s a good point, I set the rotation speed before I added the spotlight for the dark so it made it a bit tricky being night for longer :)
It was interesting to play. Great idea and good mechanics! Good job!
Thank you for your feedback!
Really original idea and well done! Fun to play
Thanks!
Hey, i watched it on the stream and rated through that :)
Hi, thanks! Was cool seeing yours as well, I'll go and give it a rating now :)
Really cool game, it's like a strategy game, but you have to strategically kill your units to stop the spread. I really liked it, but I wish there were some sounds and music. And I love Sebastian Lague too, his coding adventure series is really interesting.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah exactly :D I'll have a go at making some music for it after the jam ends hopefully. Yeah that's great as well, really clever work!
I will check your game out and leave some feedback too.
Cheers!
The modeling is really cool! :D
Thanks!
nice game overall and good project. try mine and rate it Rate cubic sword game by EM for Blackthornprod GAME JAM #3 - itch.io
Thanks for the feedback, I'll give your game a go now!
I like the mechanics of the game and the points, could use some sfx/music
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I'll have to get some music and sound effects added in after the jam has finished :D
I really like the visuals and the planet! What did you use to make it if you don't mind me asking? I also enjoyed the simplicity of it and how it can quickly get chaotic!
The main area you could improve on is by adding sounds and music as that would liven it up a lot but I do understand that you may have not had enough time to add it in.
Thanks for the feedback!
The planet was built procedurally in Unity, with superimposed layers of noise used to offset a spherical mesh. The basis of the editor for it is from Sebastian Lague's tutorials on YouTube on procedural planet generation. All of his stuff is amazing, you should check it out :) https://www.youtube.com/user/Cercopithecan I did try to give him credit in my game page but unfortunately that description doesn't seem to carry over to this page! :/
Yeah it can certainly get out of hand quite quickly :) I'll have a look at how to make music for the next one or maybe add it to this one after the jam.
Cheers
I thought I was supposed to run from the night but turns out that didn't matter! Desperately needed sfx and music.
Haha no, that would certainly add an extra layer of difficulty though! Thanks for the feedback :)
Your game was great too btw
Really cool game! I like the modeling you've done on the earth and the race to stop the spread before you cant see them when the darkness takes over.
Awesome work, feel free to check out my submission too if you have the time :)
Thanks for the feedback! I will check your game out now :)
Cheers
Good game it held my interest for good amount of time my only thing is the ai is kind of dumb like maybe the zombies run to people and people run away from zombies but the zombies are slower or something like that and the controls are not that bad but would be better if i could click and drag to rotate the planet, i also loved the day and night cycle that was a nice touch. in all fun game nicely done!
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I ran out of time to give them any really intelligence to be honest but would be interesting to see how it plays out when zombies are chasing and healthy citizens are trying to run away!
I'll have a look at your game and leave some feedback too :)
Cheers
thanks i appreciate it!
Great game! Loved the system of night and day and the fact that you had to decide which areas were more likely to kill the most zombies with the fewer citizens dead. The only thing that needs improvement is the ui
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it :) Do you think the UI just needs some polish or would you add some different stats etc?
Cheers
