Game looks good, sounds good and is fun to play though I find it way too often that I got stuck in walls. Also the wall jump is kinda funny.
Secret game dev moment, the wall jump isn't intentional. Wall bugs are unfortunately a big issue, but not quick or easy to fix, but we are working on it for an eventual remake in godot
Really fun, fast-paced game! Thank you SO much for the check points. I died so much, haha. At first, I had no idea how to trigger the grappling hook even after reading the directions a couple times. Other people probably picked up on it faster than me, but I thought something was broken. However, when I did finally pickup on the click zone tiles, everything else mostly made sense. Phasing through walls was a funny, unexpected twist! Overall, really fun game. Good work!

For me, being "completly stuck in a wall" in not a real bug, but a "power bad used".
The wall trick is a wonderful pause in jumps that allows to go further.
And the respawn key is perfect if the player is definitively stuck, obviously.
(the "R" respawn magic key ! I Love it ! I've used it so much ... my precious ! ^^")

Was it the grapple into wall jump. Deynum found that too hard to. It is going to get easier in the remake, as wall jumping isn't properly implemented in this game, but I hope you will stick around for the updates :D
The visuals are really good, expecially the main character sprites!

Thank you for the feedback, we didn’t have time to polish up the controls unfortunately, I assume you are referring to the wall jump. That is a bug, but I kept it because it felt fun to pull off, if a bit finicky. We are planning or recreating the game and making the controls better, as well as fixing the ever prevolent wall bug.
The game is good, music is amazing and the mehanic is great but i could not get past that one wall there it is just a wall and the box inside of it. Yeah gotta fix that
That isn’t broken, it is just a particularly hard trick to pull off. We are going to recreate the game, and make wall jumping a grappling better, which should reduce the difficulty of that trick.

Which wall is it? The stuck inside walls bug is not a quick fix, so we couldn't fix it for the jam, but we are expanding the project.

We are aware of this bug, but unfortunately it is not a quick fix, so we couldn't fix in time for the jam. Good to know you liked the game tho. We put checkpoints frequently as the game is hard, and to slightly negate this issue. To restart to the checkpoint , just do it by pressing R .
And also we will be making a remake . With better grappling mechanics better movement and such , so if you would like to play it when it comes , just stay tuned! I hope you will check it out

A little rough to get used to but the visuals were stunning and the gameplay was enjoyable!
Nice to know you liked it. Unfortunately a game which aims for movement depth, and is short can be rough to get into, but when we go further with project, we will try and make this curve smoother.
It's really cool, that I have to exploit these intentional bugs to get around the obstacles.
I was super confused for a few minutes, I didn't know that the grappling hook only worked on the yellow box. Some sort of an in-game tutorial is definitely needed, in my opinion.
When it comes to controls, the wall jumping was also a little weird. Quite often it didn't register, I had to press the buttons very precisely to make the game register, that I want to do a wall jump.
Also I'm not sure how the game fits the "less is more" theme.
Once I figured things out and got somewhat used to the controls, the game was quite fun. :)
It would've made more sense if it wasn't for a major bug, but it is a golf like scoring system, which means, quicker completion means more points. We didn't have time to implement tutorials, but we are going to expand and continue with this project, so a tutorial will be added. The wall jump was a bug, but it led to quite a few fun challenges, so I utilised it in level design, but we will make intentional, and therefore easier to use in an update. Thanks for all your feedback! :D

i liked the game, very fast paced, i encountered a bug, in which if you hook very close to the cubes, you clip trough them and get stuck inside them, other than that cool game, the music is good!!
This is partly intentional, but when you get stuck, we know it is annoying. Thanks for the feedback.

This is a cool concept, and I really like the artwork! Unfortunately I couldn't get the grappling hook to work, but that may have just been me, tried left/right click. I am on Windows though so may have been that. Love the animation and sounds as well though so great job overall, and really like the grappling idea :)

You're right it does work perfectly, I was just being a moron! It's really cool once I get it working, actually quite like that you can phase through the walls when you're grappling, adds an extra element to the challenge haha :) Great job!
(Btw the grappling hook only works on certain blocks, you should be able to figure which ones when you play it. They do have a different tile/texture) :)
Wow i enjoyed thi more than i thought i would be :D. Grapplin mechanic is really fun to play around . My only issue sometimes you can get stuck and cant get out :/ .I know you can restart to the check point but its annoying when it happens often. Other than that the game has potential i hope you work on this after the jam.Overall great work :D
This is an issue we were aware of, but it is not a quick fix, and removing the places where it could happen would be very detrimental to the game. We do plan to expand this game, and polish and bugfix out situations like these, in ways that wouldn't ruin the game. Happy you like it! :D
Very Nice Game But cant understand the game properly,
but its very nice to play!
That was pretty damn enjoyable! Loved the graphics and sound design was great! However i did get stuck in the grappling-boxes quite often, although it wasnt to frustrating as you could respawn very close each time! Overall really fun! Good job!

A little buggy, I got stuck in the wall right at the beginning. But other than that pretty fun game.

That isn't really a bug, you should be able to grapple through it.
About that, I got stuck too, I'd say leaving In-game instructions on stuff like Grappling would be great! :D
Yeah, I was going to add an in game tutorial, but jam time restraints. We are planning to expand the game further, so we will be putting the tutorial in that. If you ever get stuck, as a general tip, if there isn't an ingame tutorial, there is almost always something tutorially in the descripition.
