The visuals are just so good. I was really surprised when I turned off the lantern the first time. The whole game is fun and enjoyable. The only things is there are some parts where I wanted to get to the other side of a statue and it would just keep sliding right in front of me (so infuriating when we're in a narrow path so I can't go around him at a safe distance lol).

Developer

Awe thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it! We realized there were a few too narrow paths in the last hours when we had our friends and family play testing too! Definitely a lesson to be learned for our next jam :) thanks so much!

I really like the creativity and the way you implemented the theme. The art is awesome too. Rated 5 stars.

Wow people can have great ideas! Nice take on the theme, I really like how the dark mode looks. This is an idea that deserves to be played around with a bit more, for sure. Congrats!

Developer

Thanks so much for that, really appreciate your kind words! We really enjoyed working with this concept, creating creatures in the night!

I really love the concept of this game, it makes for a very neat puzzle game and the glowing animals really sell the atmosphere. Great work!

Developer(+2)

Thanks Mark! Our pixel artist really did a great job!

Developer(+2)

awe thank you!!!!! :D

So atmospheric! I loved the florescent animals!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Our artist really knocked it out of the park with the animals. We wanted to go for an "ominous but peaceful" feel.

I enjoyed the main menu animation. The animation in this game in general was amazing, I especially liked the light going out animation between levels. All of the night time creatures moving around game this game an ethereal mood and was just beautiful to look at.

I saw you submitted it 3 minutes before the deadline, that's cutting things pretty close!

Some of the puzzles confused me and I wasn't able to get past level 2, but I really enjoyed your game!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for playing it! The key is to turn the Keepers lights off to find clue as to where you need to place the gargoyle statues! I hope that helps you get past level 2!

And yeah we cut the submission close for sure, very stressful! lol

Submitted(+2)

Thank you! I'll reply the game again when I get through my current queue. I was able to figure that out with level 1 but it just never clicked on level 2 for some reason.

One thing I've learned to do to avoid the stress is to submit  a nightly build once it's in a playable state and have something for the jam, that way, even if unpolished or missing a level or two, it still exists and people can enjoy it. It's better to submit a project with bugs then to miss the deadline and have nothing.

Do you have any future plans for this game?

Developer(+2)

thanks for the feedback! I had not thought of doing nightly builds to make sure there is something on the turn in day! Imma write that tip down for the next jam!

Developer

Hey Ian, thanks for your comment! I hope you replay it - we’re pretty proud of levels 3 and 4 - our “forest” and “lake” levels.

Damn!

Wow, this is lovely! It looks amazing, and once you figure out what's going on it's so much fun to put everything together. I adore it :D
