Though not as tight platforming control wise as some (I don't think all platformers need to feel the same-just think some more leeway for the jump could have helped), the level designs were nice and it was one of the better 'different world states' platformers I've seen-as someone that doesn't really interact with the genre.

- My favorite part was how there wasn't just 2 states to the world, different elements were revealed and hidden at different times throughout the light-dark cycle, making it all have a bit more impact.
All the sound and music really helped solidify the atmosphere the art presented too, came together really well.
I can totally see speedrunners enjoying the construction of these levels.
Also I felt the levels just manged to keep below the threshold of becoming too long to be enjoyable, even though I'm not great at them or seek them out after really struggling with level 7 I found I was just short of the goal when I managed to reach it, so I kept going through 8 too and eventually completed it in 15 minutes.

- A little more leeway to jumping off platforms would have been nice.
Sometimes the camera wouldn't reset as smoothly height-wise after death.

No worries :) !

Very interesting take on the theme!! I wish i was in control of when the level was in light/darkness because sometimes i need to wait a whole cicle just to stay in light/darkness and that is a bit slow :/

The game is super fun tho, Good Job!! :3

This game is nice overall, it can be hard at times but definitely not bad.

Very interesting concept. I really enjoyed the difficulty curve, too.

Glad you enjoyed it :)
Adjusting the difficulty was a challenge, because some playtesters found the game more difficult than others.

Fun game! Sometimes felt a bit difficult, but nice work!

I like it! Could get a little difficult at times, but overall very cool :)

I liked it a lot. Especially the concept. Controls were a bit janky for my taste but it is a good game overall. I don't like anonymous voting, so here is my rating :)

Keep up the good work.

The art and style is super cool! Loved the character look!! Such a cool concept to be able to see the objects when the lights go out! Loved the game!

Interesting concept and the art with the music creates a nice atmosphere

The level with swinging vines was quite a challenge for me haha. Apart from that, well made game with great atmosphere!

Submitted(+2)

The concept is interesting, the music and sounds makes it very atmospheric. I think the levels are a bit too difficult for my taste but I think this is a fine submission for the jam.

Although the game is a little hard, the art and music is implemented really well! Nice job!

Thank you very much! :)

Cool idea and difficult but in a way that made me shout then keep playing. One thing to consider is maybe reloading the level from its base state when you die; especially since you have a speed running angle. Light, pendulums, and platforms get out of cycle and it makes the level quite different each life. Great entry!

Thanks!

Hollow Knight was definitely a source of inspiration.

It looks really amazing and also has a nice flow of constant death and trying again, but it gets real hard pretty fast. Got stuck pretty early (but maybe i am just to bad ^.^)
