Game's Take on the Theme
Game implements theme "Spin" as two ways: 1. Player's attack is a 360 spin kick which he does on one foot. 2. Boss movement follows a spin motion

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes

Very well-designed! The music is cool, and I really liked how its speed changes based on the character's health. Also, it's a plus that the story is presented, even if just through text. However, the boss felt extremely difficult (I’ll admit, I didn’t get past the first one). Maybe it’s because of the unfamiliar controls or the rather sharp attacks. But overall, it looked amazing!

Really like the art style of this game! The controls feel a little weird to me, I'm also not really a fan of the how dash feels. overall great game though!

(P.S. If you're willing to I'd love it if you played and gave some feedback to my game! It's my first ever game jam and i'd love to see where i can improve!)

The game looks amazing and the chiptune music is pretty cool, but I feel like the player was a bit too slow!

The art and chiptunes were fantastic. I love the look of this game. I feel like the controls could use a little bit of extra help. The boss felt very dynamic and the player character felt really sluggish by comparison.

I really like the pixel art that you have here, the chiptune music is awesome, also the game mechanics are cool, I enjoy the game a lot. I rate graphics, music, fun and control on top but all is great, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

Thanks for playing our game. I will definitely check out yours.

Very fun and challenging game! Really enjoyable! 🌻🖤

Nice art, lore, and music! Thank you for speeding up the text with space! The boss glitched out after the first charge, so I killed it easily but overall great game! Congrats on submission! Feel free to try our game if you like!

Yo, Thanks for playing out our game. I will definitely checkout yours. Regarding the glitch you mentioned, can you specify the methods to reproduce that. Like anything you notice about the boss before or after that glitch happened .

Movement felt a bit slow as it was hard to catch up to the boss. I like the music tho. With more polish this can turn out into an awesome game.

Just as "hardcore" as I like it, nice story also. I would like to see the character movement speed amplified little bit.

This game cooks me holy. I wish the movement felt a little smoother. Looks great!

It´s very difficult for me to beat the first boss, when i aproach i die very quickly. Very good story and art.

Feels a bit too hard, I would increase character movespeed and nerf boss hp a bit.

was some fun to get to know the patterns and the story was nice to read. overall a nice experience. cons might be: character feeling slow and clunky being glued down for a while when attacking and boss hp was too high for my taste. still very nice game had fun

from afar the main character looks like a monk

I am glad someone could notice it 🥲

It was a cool experience to play. I liked the arts and animations, especially the character dying.

I'd really like to have more attack varieties here.

I basically dash and attack the whole time, maybe a cooldown to the dash in combination with more attack abilities would be a nive mechanic.

Overall good art and great music!

I am a sucker for retro style games and lore, the visuals and music were pretty solid. I do think the spin element could maybe be driven further, than just a spin and the boss movement. Maybe in more attack patterns and so on, like with bullet hells, though movement might have to be sped up for that. Overall I look forward to what you will add for the final release, post jam!

Edit: Since music speeds up as you get hit, maybe relating that to the gameplay a bit more would be an interesting idea, punishing the player for mistakes, but also seeking to reward their actions by getting closer and maybe using more specific attacks.

Thanks for playing!! Will keep these pointers in mind for the next version.
