Interesting game, but pretty hard from the beginning, especially because of the controls. The forward direction stay constant from the start of the movement regardless of rotation, no lateral non-dash movement and fire is SPACE, not LMB - those are very hard to get adjusted to. I think with just better controls the game will thrive - it's beautiful, there are game systems to explore, the combat seems like it would be fun if maneuvering the ship wasn't such a pain.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Others have mentioned this, so we do plan to rework the movement entirely to make the game easier to play.

It looks promising, but unfortunately I wasn't really able to enjoy it. The shop buttons doesn't work so refuelling and upgrading my ship didn't work.

There's some cool visuals, especially the black holes. There could also be some more dynamics to the music, so it would change during battle, but it's nice as it is.

The game isn't really all that theme oriented but it's still nice.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we hope to improve our game after the jam.

I haven't heard anyone else say the shop wasn't working, did you have enough money to purchase upgrades/refuel, and were you able to open the shop in the first place? If so then this could be a bug we didn't find during testing.

Submitted(+1)

I was able to open the shop. The thing is, ui said I had 9999 money, but I wasn't able to buy anything. I thought that maybe it was a display issue, but even after fighting more ships I still wasn't able to buy anything. The buttons highlighted but nothing changed after clicking on them. That's all I can say. Hope this helps!

Developer

Oh okay that makes sense, thanks. You don't actually get money from killing enemies, you have to kill the enemies that are defending a planet, and then destroy the mining sites at that planet to gain money. But due to the UI saying 9999 I can understand the confusion, I'll look into that bug. Thanks for this feedback, it helps a lot!

Good idea for a game. Graphics, musical effects are well thought out)

Game Design is cool

Submitted(+1)

Hard to start, but enjoyable experience!

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. The art style is great! Everything looks amazing!
  2. The sound effects are fantastic, great work on them!
  3. The overall idea is very interesting!

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. Movement was difficult to learn at the beginning, the thrusters make it a lot more confusing to be 100 percent honest.
  2. Have a short tutorial guiding the players on what they are supposed to do, because it was kinda confusing at the beginning.

Overall 📓

Great work on this game! I can tell a lot of dedication was put into this game! I want to say great job! I cant wait to see what game you make next!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We will take your notes into consideration, as we intend to revamp the movement and hopefully add a tutorial.

Nice entry, congratulations!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Graphics and environment are nice. Ui is cool. I didn't get how can I earn gold. I destroyed bunch of spaceships but still 0 gold. Buying upgrades from planets is cool. Good job !

Developer

Once you defeat the enemies surrounding a planet, mining sites would appear, then you can break them for money. I'll be sure to include a tutorial in the next update. Thanks for playing!

The graphics are really good!! and the sound design too!!

The controls feel a bit weird, and the I wasn't entirely sure how the currency system works.

Pretty good job!!

Developer

We intend to revamp the movement in the next update based on feedback like yours. To get money you had to kill the enemies that defended a planet. Mining sites would then appear that you can destroy for money. Thanks for the feedback though, really appreciate it!

I really love the atmosphere you managed to create! Those assets and sfx perfectly fit this concept.

Personally, I found ship controls to be a bit tricky, but they're quite easy to understand, maybe I needed more time to get used to them. Anyway, this game looks like something you could develop further, it has everything!

Very nice!

Developer

Yeah, we hope to release a big post-jam update very soon. Thanks so much for the feedback!

Going into it knowing the controls would be difficult to learn actually made it easier to understand them. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for trying it!

Great Concept!

It is difficult to understand how to control even I've checked the control menu. It takes a while to finally understand. Great game concept!

Can you rate my game please? thank you

This feels like a fantastic start to what can be a really great game! I actually like the movement system, except I felt that hyperspeed was a bit too slow. Art is fantastic and the music fit well also!  Good work and good luck! btw I did go through one of the portals in the top right, and after I went through i was unable to move my ship again!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The hyperspeed is initially quite slow because there are many engine upgrades to buy from the shops to make it faster! Hmm... I haven't heard of that happening, will have to do some bug fixing, thanks.

I didn't like the controls at first but the more i played, the better they got! Fun concept!

Developer(+1)

We know the controls are a bit complicated, but thought they were pretty cool once you got used to them. However, based on feedback we are going to refine them a little. Thanks for playing!

The controls were very unique but once I got used to them they were a lot of fun to play with in combat!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)

The rocket felt nice! Had to get used to the dashing but looks nice and polished

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I really liked the concept but it was a bit hard to understand in game. Thanks for the explanation in the description :D
I think the dodge mechanic could've been really cool if the movement felt a bit better. I got really confused when trying to move and never really got the hang of it. Graphics and sound were on point tho and I liked the effect on the background :)

Cool game! The volume slider in the options wasn't working for me, but it's a detail. It was a bit hard to control the ship, and I died thinking the black hole was a portal. Nice music and atmosphere!

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! Yeah I know the main menu volume slider doesn't work. The one in the pause menu does though haha. And yeah, I'll be refining the movement in a future update, thanks!

i didn't really get the game and the gameplay is kind of janky, the graphics and audio are GREAT though, and i think the idea was very cool

Developer

Thanks!

Very Great Game! It Was A Bit Hard To Move And I Think It Will Be Good If You Put The Shooting Mechanic in The Mouse, Other then That it It Good. :D

Developer

Thank you for trying it, we will take your feedback into consideration.
