love the art style on this one and the randomness
Cool game, suitable for shorty Jam. A lot of content behind the door.
(I lose my 250 money for who said give him and he can get me out ).
Thanks for playing and comments!
Gotcha)
This is very neat! Most of the minigames are just random, so I don't think I was winning much, but it is cool!
Thanks for playing and comments! I tried to find a balance between randomness and meaningful choice, like in board games.
Really fun ! I somehow found the exit immediately on my first try, on the top left door too XD. Love the minigames and art.
This was really neat and fun! I found that almost every fight was basically free after one AP up (I ended up with 13 AP and no enemy had higher than 11), but that aside it was a goofy time with some RNG, which I can get behind, well done!
Thanks for playing and comments!
Yes, Grandfather's ax is an item of imbalance. But this is random. You can find it at the beginning and the game will be easier, or you can find it at the end when it is almost useless. The store tried to inflate the price for it.
And yes, the battle is a simulator of randomization and receiving rewards, so that in the future it will be easier. Perhaps there are options to diversify this phase of the battle, but I didn’t have enough time for it.
This was really fun! I love the concept of using spells and playing minigames to gather items and gold . It makes for a fun experience with lots of possibilities.
The art is really great, and the music pairs it well. It's fun, chill, and easily replayable.
Some of the challenges do feel a little unfair. For example you have the "guess my number from 1 to 10" which is basically a 1/10 chance of losing 1hp. Another thing I thought while playing is that combat could also be more of a probability thing, so instead of "I have more AP than you so I win", it's just a higher probability. In one run I found the great axe right away which wins most fights, and this would help that.
In any way, really loved it!
Thanks for playing and comments! Yes, there are doors that are especially unfair. This was done specifically to touch the player's nerves. These doors have a lower chance of creation than, for example, 50/50 doors (but not garanty creation two unfair door in a raw). For unfair doors, a “Potion of Luck” was created.
I enjoyed it a lot, amazing idea, some bugs here and there and nothing else to add. Room +1 max HP does not work and once I got an impossible game where I couldn't win any fight because rng blessed me with - 3 ap. Excluding the last problem it's amazing game. I can't find anything I did not enjoy or anything. Fibonacci sequence is meta.
I think a custom game would be amazing here, I see potential!
Thanks for playing and comments! Hmm, very strange... No matter how many times I played, I didn’t find such a bugs... Although who knows what else could be there) I’ll have to check more carefully)
Loved the use of the theme, The minigames were cool, would have loved more of them.
Very interesting game, the writing is a bit confusing, but I got the hang of it quickly. I think the gold/store door can be improved a bit, since I never got to the store the first time, and in the second try was literally my second door, so I didn’t have gold at all.
Thanks for playing and comments! I'll think about the store. Right now he's just a random door like everyone else. It was possible to make a complex randomization so that it appeared closer to the middle of the game, but this would require rewriting a lot of code.
Loved how many tiny games you packed into the level... i kept opening doors to find more mini games to play! Well done!
Really nice game opened ton of doors even got the lengedary baseball bat hahha!
The visuals are nice but all the doors looking the same kinda hurt my eyes a bit somehow. Tho everything else was amazing art nice, music and sounds good to hear. Even the mechanics was nice and intrueging!
Well done!
nice game I really like it !
I love this! You really captured the "What's behind the door theme" and gave me a lot of anxiety on which door to open. I actually got lucky my first run and got the way out on the 2nd door hahaha, I played it 5 more times after.
I love how many different elements and mini games there are, collecting items, or having to play a quick mini game/solve a problem. Having to use powers to get an edge in finding the next room. The combat was really good too with a dice roll.
I was confused on how many times I could roll again to see if I could get a bigger number then my enemy. But other then that, the game's objective and rooms are clear.
This was super fun, and you did a wonderful job as a solo dev, fantastic work!
i love this game it is not something i would see myself playing normally but i enjoyed it enough to where i will 100% come back and play again later.
Very fun game, made me laugh a couple times
Not a big fan of this type of game but you make me play it for a while. Can't believe it's done by one person because the game is quite finished and works really well. Good job! Love the overall art style, you get a good sense of art by choosing the right art assets.
It’s very nice to hear such words, thank you very much!
Fun game. I like the randomness of it. I think it’s fun! It could do with more sound effects though. Solid game!
i loved the game design, funny and original ^^
Such a fun game. The english spellings were hilarious. Great Job!
Niche idea. It randoms a lot so sometimes it feels a bit unfair, but nonetheless. It a great concept.
I kinda wish thats there are even more kinds of doors.
Yes, of course, more doors to the god of doors!))
